The Nasdaq-100 printed a record close at 30,732 (+0.82%), ten points under its June high, while the S&P was flat and the banks fell 2.4%. Tuesday's cash close was S&P 500 7,764.64 (−0.00%), Nasdaq-100 30,732.40 (+0.82%) and VIX 14.21 (−4.44%), with the Nasdaq Composite at a second straight record and the Dow down 0.36%. At 06:43 Singapore Wednesday the Nasdaq-100 CFD was 30,763.1 (+0.10%), the S&P CFD 7,771.2, the VIX future 17.35, Brent 98.55 and gold 4,364.72. Brent settled $99.25, a fifth straight decline and a second settle under 101, after the US met Iran's delegation for three hours at the UN — "a very good meeting", nothing signed — and Kyodo reported a seven-day Hormuz reopening offer conditional on the blockade lifting. Xi Jinping lands in Washington today; the bilateral and the AI-executive state dinner are Thursday.

The Nasdaq-100 printed a record close and did not print the June high. The index opened at 30,496.43, which is Tuesday's low and, to the point, the quarterly Bollinger band top (30,495.81). It ran to 30,770.63 — 9.75 under the June intraday high of 30,780.38 — and closed at 30,732.40, up 0.82%, the first record close since June by Bloomberg's count. There was no cash gap: the open was 61 points under Monday's high. The close sits 404 over the daily band top and 11 under the weekly band top; on the 30-minute chart the momentum reading peaked at 83.45 against Monday's 89.32 on a higher price high — the divergence qualifier the fade required — but no 30-minute close came back under the 30,684 rejection line afterward. The fade stayed out of a record.
The S&P went nowhere and the banks went down. The S&P closed 7,764.64, off six hundredths of a point, after a high of 7,782.19 that stopped 1.7 under the daily band top and a low of 7,756.26 on the 30-minute band floor. The record close, 7,771, was not taken. The bank index fell 2.38% to 175.87 with JPMorgan down 3.4% on the calmest tape in weeks — a curve trade (the two-year 4.75, the ten-year 4.97, the spread 22 basis points), not a credit event — and it is the seventh bank-index close under 185, which keeps the rates-banks licence on. One correction to the record: the quarterly chart header gives the third-quarter intraday high as 7,816.70, not the ≈7,795 this framework read off the render; the S&P levels below are re-keyed to it.
The members half-followed. The Nasdaq-100 count rose 2.97 to 45.54 — three net buy signals, the first close over 45 since 8 September, which exits the July-flush analog — while staying under the 50 line that keeps the structural-short licence intact for a thirteenth session. The Nasdaq McClellan oscillator crossed zero (+4.04, the first positive print since 31 August), which ended the summation index's fifteen-session slide with a rise of four points. The advance-decline percent printed a second close over +30 (repair 2 of 3), though its intraday low of +0.99 shows how close the day came to failing it. 45.5% of the members are over their 50-day average, up from 37.6%.
The NYSE did not follow. The NYSE high-low index made another new low, 17.70, on a record-close day, with its momentum reading at 10 — an eighteenth sub-50 print. The advance-decline line opened at +865, reached +879 and closed at −30: a 909-point fade into the bell, the fourth session running the tape has been sold into the close. The transports closed under 20,000 a second time. The broad market's count slipped to 39.80 and only 31.4% of S&P members are over their 50-day.
The VIX filled its own gap. The index fell 4.44% to 14.21 and its low, 14.19, went through the 14.58 floor of the 8-September war gap; the last magnet under the spot is gone. The front future closed 17.35, a 22% premium for a fifth session — the curve still refuses to price a calm week.
Credit sat still. High-yield closed 94.72, up a cent, a ninth close under 95 and 0.28 from the line that re-opens the accumulation ladders. The option-adjusted spread was unchanged at 2.68. On a record-close day credit neither confirmed nor cracked, and the landing bid stays retired.
The ten-year closed under five and not under 4.94. The chart closed 4.97 (open 4.96, high 4.99, low 4.92). The low touched the first-withdrawal line; the close refused it by three basis points. The framework books "under 5.00 for a second session" and does not book a withdrawal: the spiral read stands for a ninth session (nine closes over 4.90, seventeen over 4.70). The two-year at 4.75 with a momentum reading of 76 is why the banks were sold. The dollar closed 100.54 with a high over its daily band top, the fifth session of the gold-short dollar licence.
Oil settled lower for a fifth day and nothing was signed. Brent November settled $99.25, down 1%, the second settle under 101; the spot low was 97.36, 2.4 dollars over the 95 gap floor. The October WTI contract expired at 94.59. The R14 single-gate restore stands: the tactical cap is 30%, and a settle back at or over 101 re-imposes 20%. What moved the barrel was a three-hour meeting between US and Iranian delegations on the UN sidelines, which the President called "very good", a UN address that put "annihilate the Islamic Republic" and "a deal right after the election" in the same speech, a Kyodo report that Tehran offered to reopen Hormuz within seven days if the US lifts its port blockade, and the Saudi East-West pipeline restarting. By geography nothing changed at the Gulf infrastructure; by signature nothing changed at all. The headline protocol stays live and every outright tactical index long stays struck.
Breadth on the NYSE side is still the C-path's evidence. The NYSE summation index fell for a twenty-sixth session, to −421, because the NYSE McClellan is still negative (−23.64, though rising). The distribution flag count is twelve. The countertrend protocol is 0 of 3.
Path D holds at 24%. Oil fell a fifth day, the ten-year is under five, the VIX closed at a leg low with its gap filled — the shock inputs are moving the other way. What keeps it at 24: a 22% volatility-future premium into the Xi week, a two-year at a cycle high with the curve flattening enough to sell the banks 2.4%, credit under 95 for a ninth session, and a UN speech that named annihilation as one of two options. D re-takes weight on a ten-year close over 5.00, a settle at or over 101, a VIX close over 17.84 or verified high-yield under 94.
Path C rises two to 32%. The three-peak divergence is now in its textbook form: a retest of the June high, 9.75 points short, on a lower 30-minute momentum reading, a monthly momentum reading of 72.25 against the June peak of 77.88, a count under 50, a NYSE high-low index at a new low, transports under 20,000 and a 2.4% bank sale. C does not retake modal because its internals repaired at the margin on the same day — McClellan positive, summation streak ended, advance-decline percent 2 of 3 — and no price line has broken. C retakes modal on a daily close under 30,496 with the count under 45.
Path B falls two to 34%, still modal. The price half of B is complete — a record close inside the weekly band — and the breadth half improved: the count over 45, the McClellan over zero. B gives the two points to C because the record printed on lower momentum. B gives more back on a holding 30-minute close under 30,496, and takes weight back on a daily close over 30,780 with the count over 50.
Path A holds at 10%. A record close is A's price print. Its gates are not met: the count needs 50 (it is 45.54), high-yield needs 95 (94.72), two net new 52-week highs among a hundred members on a record day is not confirmation, and there is no signature. A rises on the twin gate or a signed date.
The map: three of five, and a fourth consecutive upward miss. The S&P (7,765 in 7,720–7,780), the ten-year (4.97 in 4.90–5.02) and Brent (99.25 in 97–103) hit. The Nasdaq-100 closed 30,732 against a projected 30,200–30,520: missed by 212, the fourth straight session this map has been too low. The VIX closed 14.21 against 14.3–15.8: missed by 0.09. The no-lean rule brought in on Tuesday is extended: after a fourth same-direction miss, the projected range is the wider of the last two true ranges, centred on the close, which is 913 points.
"The June high is the next print." Tuesday's issue said it. The high stopped 9.75 under 30,780. The framework scores this as a hit on the band, not on the level — the tape did what the issue described and stopped short of the number the issue named. The record close is a fact the issue did not call.
The divergence qualifier worked; Option 01 earned nothing. The 30-minute momentum reading peaked at 83 against Monday's 89 on a higher high — the exact condition the fade required — and the rejection close under 30,684 never came. A fade taken without the qualifier would have been short into a record close. The rule kept it out. It is re-keyed to the weekly band top and the June high with the reference reading now 83.45.
Option 03 missed its qualifying print by 1.8 points. The S&P high was 7,782.19; the structure needed 7,784. The tape then closed 7,764.64, seventeen points off the band — the shape the fade was drawn for, printed without the trigger. This is a trigger-distance cost and it is owned. The qualifying print is re-keyed to Tuesday's high.
Both pair designs missed a second ratio day. The Nasdaq-to-S&P ratio closed 3.958, up 0.82%. Option 07 wanted a pullback to 3.900 first and never got one (the low was 3.932); Option 06 wanted a close under 3.911 that never came. Two sessions, two entry-design misses on the same premise: the pullback condition is retired, and the v9.88 pairs are single-condition.
Options 02, 04, 05 and 08 did not trigger, and one of those non-triggers is a win. Gold's low, 4,291.66, went thirteen points through the 4,305 short line intraday; the close, 4,363.40, was fifty-eight over it, and the daily-close basis (adopted after two unresolvable 30-minute fills earlier this month) kept the short out of a 72-point reversal. Nothing was booked; nothing was lost; the book has been flat for two sessions in which the Nasdaq-100 rose 3.7%.

Win probability is the framework's estimate that the first target prints before the stop within one day to one week, conditional on the trigger firing; it is not a backtest. It is calibrated to the scenario weights, to how this structure type has behaved across the last thirty days of issues, and to the distance from the last price. Anything at or below 50% is a lower-odds, higher-payoff structure and carries the muted pill. Two structures are unconventional: Option 06, a single-condition market-neutral ratio pair against a 30-minute ratio momentum reading of 86 at a record, and Option 07, the retired structural ladder's first rung re-anchored from the gap top to the quarterly band top — the only structure that may carry through Thursday's binary. Outright index longs stay struck; the bounce-side conditions (the high-low index's momentum under 15 for a fourth session, a washed-out retail survey) are expressed only through near first targets and the pair.

Base case: the record is the map. The projected range is 30,276–31,189, 913 points centred on the close under the extended no-lean rule, with a projected close of 30,500–30,960 for the Nasdaq-100, 7,700–7,830 for the S&P, a VIX of 13.6–15.2, a ten-year of 4.90–5.02 and a Brent settle of 96–102. The June high is 48 points over the close and 17 over the CFD. Weight moves up on a daily close over 30,780 with the count over 45 — then 31,175, the 60-minute band top, is the next line, and the invalidation regime still needs a monthly close with the monthly momentum reading over 77.88. Weight moves down on a holding 30-minute close under 30,496 after a 30,583 print (Option 02) — 30,356, 30,328, 30,064 — and a daily close under it with the count under 45 makes the rollover modal and arms Option 07; a ten-year close over 5.00 or a settle at or over 101 with it re-takes weight for the shock path.
Base case: the all-time high is the map and it has been touched — 30,328–30,780 inside the wider 29,648–30,780, with the June high touched at least once more and gap #41 not filled inside the week; the S&P 7,691–7,822. The Xi state visit runs Wednesday to Friday with the bilateral and the dinner Thursday; flash PMIs, durables and claims Thursday; final Michigan sentiment Friday; the NAAIM survey Wednesday and the AAII survey Thursday are the first fresh sentiment reads against a record. Up: 30,780 on a daily close with the count over 50 and high-yield verified over 95 moves B to A. Down: a daily close under 30,496 with the count under 45 moves B to C and re-opens the ladder logic — 30,328, 29,933, 29,648, the 20-week 29,450, gap #39 at 29,236–29,306; with a ten-year close over 5.00 or a settle at or over 101 the path is D-fast.
The verdict is a retest on a lower momentum reading, and the retest has now printed: the monthly reading is 72.25 running against the June peak of 77.88, with September up 4.33%. The three-peak structure is intact until a monthly close with the reading over 77.88, 5.63 away. A 30 September close at or over 30,780 with the reading under 77.88 is a higher price high on a lower momentum high with a sub-50 count — the textbook divergence print, and the rollover path's best entry, not its invalidation. Central case into the close: 29,236–30,780, then the resolution. The bull parlay is five conditions — a signed Hormuz date, a settle under 101 (done), high-yield over 95 verified (0.28 away), the ten-year under 4.90 (7bp), the count over 50 (4.46) — for 31,175–31,932. The shock case is a settle back over 109.45 with verified high-yield under 94 and a VIX close over 21: 29,236, 28,753, 27,753, the R3 band 27,281–27,286.
Central: 27,000–30,800, range with downward drift while the monthly divergence resolves; the hike cycle caps the multiple; a Hormuz reopening is the largest upside input and the largest sell-the-news for the war-bid assets. The record close does not move the drift: a divergence resolves at the high, and this is the high. Year-end is conditional on the September monthly close — base case, a September close within 1% of 30,780 on a reading under 77.88, then a rollover resolution and recovery, 27,500–29,800 for the Nasdaq-100 and 7,100–7,700 for the S&P; the bull tail 32,000–33,500 needs the invalidation regime; the shock tail 24,500–26,000 needs stacked shocks. A September close over 30,780 with the reading under 77.88 raises the near-term high and lowers the year-end base by the size of the eventual resolution — not a bull case.

The August S&P high is corrected to 7,816.70 from the quarterly chart header. The AAII and NAAIM readings are carried from 17 and 16 September and are not presented as Tuesday prints.
The index did the one thing left for it to do and closed at a record, ten points under the only lid on its chart, on a lower momentum reading than the push before it. The members half-followed — the count over 45, the Nasdaq McClellan positive, the summation slide over — and the NYSE, the transports and the banks did not. Oil settled under 101 a second day on a meeting and an offer, not a signature; the ten-year is under five and not under 4.94. The range path stays modal at 34% with the rollover at 32%. The tactical line is 30,496 — Tuesday's low and open, the quarterly band top: a holding 30-minute close under it hands the record back, a daily close under it arms the structural short. The next decision point is Thursday's Xi bilateral and dinner, and every tactical structure is flat before it.
