LUBATIX TRADER DIGESTTUESDAY · 29 SEPTEMBER 2026 · MONDAY US CLOSE · THE GATE RE-PRINTS

Handed Back in a Session: the Nasdaq-100 Lost 331 Points and Closed Under Friday's Low, the Quarterly Band Top and the Gate Line with the Count Under 40, While the 10-Year Closed 5.24 and Gold Fell 3.8%

Friday's issue said the range read had printed its price half without its breadth half, and that a fraction of a count-point was keeping a losing structural short alive. Monday resolved it the other way: the price half was handed back in one session, the count fell by the most of the leg and went under 40, the broadest index closed under its pre-alert line, and the ten-year closed one basis point under the framework's next escalation. The structural short paid two of its three targets and the tactical that should have paid did not, because its qualifier sat above the day's high — owned below. The framework signals the rollover path modal alone at 38%.

Executive Summary

Overnight in brief

The Nasdaq-100 fell 331 points to 30,277 (−1.08%), closing back under Friday's low, the quarterly band top and the gate line as the 10-year hit 5.24%. Monday's cash close was S&P 500 7,683.69 (−0.77%), Nasdaq-100 30,276.81 (−1.08%) and VIX 16.07 (+8.07%), with the Nasdaq Composite −0.92%, the Dow −0.67% and the Russell −0.69%. At 06:42 Singapore Tuesday (18:43 New York, the post-close board — Asia had not opened) the Nasdaq-100 CFD was 30,320.4 (+0.14%), the S&P CFD 7,689.1, the VIX future 17.74, Brent 98.77 on the December board and gold 4,124.79. The session sold from the first hour on Brent's spike to 108.83 after Trump rejected Iran's seven-day plan, made its low before midday with the ten-year at 5.28, and bounced 270 points into 13:00 on reports that Qatari mediators had "ideas" and that Washington was open to sanctions relief — reports the President called untrue after the close. Brent settled $105.28, the thirty-year printed a new post-2004 high at 5.55, gold fell 3.81% to 4,121.82 on the rate repricing, and nothing was signed on Hormuz.

Framework signal

The framework signals the rollover path modal alone at 38% because the Nasdaq-100 closed back under 30,496 [the quarterly band top, the gate line] with 37.62% of members on buy signals [the count] — both halves of its own gate on one close — while the ten-year closed 5.24; the read stands while the index holds under 30,414 on a daily close, a daily close over it with the count over 40 returns weight to the range path, and a VIX close over 17.85, a ten-year close over 5.25, a verified credit close under 94 or a Brent settle at 109.45 makes the shock path modal alone.
Called-shot note: Friday's issue named 30,414 as the line where the rollover and shock paths went to 34–36 each, and 30,496 with the count under 45 as the line where the rollover path took modal alone. Both printed Monday and both are booked. The same issue's Friday-low sell-stop needed a 30,544 print first; the tape topped at 30,480 and fell 399 points without it — a design miss, accounted in the Honest Ledger.

What Monday Changed

The Nasdaq-100 handed back Friday's price half in one session. It opened 30,427 inside Friday's range — no cash gap — printed its high 30,480 in the first hour, fell 399 points to 30,081 before midday as Brent printed 108.83 and the ten-year 5.28, bounced 270 into 13:00 on the Qatar-shuttle reports and drifted to 30,277. That close is 137 under Friday's low, 219 under the quarterly band top the framework uses as the gate line, and 306 under the un-print line the tape had cleared on Friday. Two sessions ago the question was whether a fraction of a count-point should keep a structural short alive; the tape answered it.

The count did not split this time. The Nasdaq-100 bullish percent fell 6.93 to 37.62 — seven net sell signals, the largest one-day fall of the leg — and closed under 40, which puts the July analog back in force. The S&P count made a new low at 34.60, both summation indices made new lows, the high-low index made a new low with 461 new Nasdaq lows against 50 highs, and the advance-decline line closed at −1,406 after Friday's first positive close in seven sessions. The one line the members held was the −30 count line: the Nasdaq-100 advance-decline percent closed −24.75 after a 13/87 low, so the rollover count stays at 16 rather than adding. The framework counts closes in both directions.

The broadest index printed the R6 pre-alert. The NYSE Composite closed 23,757, 34.7 points under the 23,792 line its low had touched twice last week without closing under. The pre-alert is not the reduction — that is the 200-day at 23,231, 2.3% lower — but it adds a half-size rule to any outright long the framework ever licenses, and none is licensed.

Gold fell 3.81% and the short filled on the daily close. Spot gold closed 4,121.82, the lowest since 5 August and −7.2% on the month, sold on the same rate repricing that took the ten-year to 5.24 and October hike odds toward 70%. The framework's re-armed gold short needed a daily close under 4,246; it got one 124 points under the line, with every target already printed on the way. That is the cost of a daily-close basis, and it is accounted below.

The VIX gapped 8% and the curve did not move. The spot opened 16.16 over its 20-day and Friday's high, printed 16.62 before noon and closed 16.07 with the October future at 17.74 — a basis of 10.4%, down from 18.6% on Friday night. Friday's issue said the curve did not believe the vol crush; the spot caught up to the curve on Monday, not the other way round.

What Monday Did Not Change

Credit still has no wire print. The high-yield ETF printed 93.16 on the chart, a fourth session under 94 with the option-adjusted spread 13 basis points wider at 2.93. The direction is confirmed by the spread; the level is still not verified on a wire close, and the shock path's credit input stays met-on-the-render, unbooked. A verified close under 94 is worth four points to the shock path.

The ten-year did not close over 5.25. The high 5.28 printed the escalation-3 line; the close 5.24 did not. The framework counts closes, so the rate adds nothing beyond what the 30,414 line already booked. A close over 5.25 takes every tactical short to full size within the cap and makes the shock path modal alone; the Fed's Cook putting AI demand on the inflation side of the ledger in public makes that close likelier, not less.

Oil did not print its next line either way. Brent settled 105.28, a fourth consecutive settle over 101 that keeps the 20% cap, 4.17 under the 109.45 step-4 watch. The four-dollar Asia spike faded on the Saudi East-West pipeline ramp and Middle East exports near 13 million barrels a day; the November contract expires Wednesday and the December contract at 98.77 governs from Thursday. If December settles under 101 twice, the single-gate restore fires by rule and the framework will not pre-empt it.

Nothing was signed, and a denied report is not a report. Qatar's mediator told Iran's delegation it "had some ideas" and will convey Washington's final response by Tuesday; US officials told Axios and CNN the President is open to sanctions relief for nuclear concessions; the President posted that the reports are untrue; an Iranian official said there is no nuclear flexibility and no talks on it. The two-side framework-report clause requires both sides sourced on one framework. This was one side, denied by its principal within hours. The headline protocol is unchanged.

The Four Paths — Reweighted

D · Shock (oil / rates / credit)
34% (32)
C · Structural rollover
38% (32)
B · Range / rotation
20% (28)
A · Bull continuation
8% (8)

Path D rises 2 to 34%. Friday's issue wrote the line: a daily close under 30,414 takes the rollover and shock paths to 34–36 each. It printed. The shock path takes two, not four, because none of its own inputs closed through their lines — the VIX 1.78 under 17.85, Brent 4.17 under the watch, the ten-year one basis point under 5.25, credit unverified. A 3.8% fall in gold on a rate repricing is a liquidation tell, and it is why D takes the two rather than nothing.

Path C rises 6 to 38% and takes modal alone. Its own rule: a daily close back under 30,496 with the count under 45. Monday printed it with the count under 40, both summations at new lows and the NYSE under the pre-alert. C takes six rather than eight because the members were bought 270 points off the low and the transports refused to confirm the fall — a whipsaw inside the leg, not a repair. C hands modal back to B only on the un-print (a daily close over 30,583 with the count over 45) or the backstop.

Path B falls 8 to 20%. The range read's price half lasted one session. B does not go lower because the tape is still 344 points over the gap #41 top and the Qatar response is a live two-sided input inside 48 hours. A daily close under 29,933 takes it to 16.

Path A holds at 8%. Nothing signed; the count 37.62; credit under 94 on the chart. A rises only on the twin gate or a signature.

The Honest Ledger

Lines that held. Friday's issue named 30,414 and 30,496-with-the-count as the two lines that re-weighted the matrix, and 30,081 was not on the map at all — the projected range floor was 30,446. Monday's map scored two of five: the ten-year and Brent hit, the Nasdaq-100, the S&P and the VIX all missed on the downside. The first miss after three hits, all three in the direction the modal path points; the no-lean rule stands because it was written for exactly this.

Structures that paid. The structural short (Option 01) took a third at 30,414 — which was 154 over its own fill and therefore paid nothing — and a third at 30,204 for 56; the last third is carried 17 in the money with the stop trailed from 30,790 to 30,500. The blended result of the two thirds taken is −49 per unit. That is the true cost of a rung filled on a gap 154 points over its first target and carried 348 underwater for two sessions; the structure is now a remainder, not a carry. The S&P sell-stop (Option 05) filled about 7,690 after the 7,724 open print, printed both its first two targets on the 7,667 low, missed the flat by 3.6 and closed the last third at 7,688: about +10 per unit on a third of a percent.

The structure that should have paid and did not. The Friday-low sell-stop (Option 02) needed a 30,544 print before a holding close under 30,414. The tape topped at 30,480, fell 399 points, closed 137 under the line — and the structure never armed, because its qualifier sat 64 points over the day's high. Right on the level, wrong on the gate; the third version of the framework's recurring risk. Nothing is booked because nothing filled, and that is the point: a falsifiable book has to own the trades it designed out of existence. The qualifier now keys to a fast average.

Structures that cannot be resolved from daily OHLC. The VIX doorway long (Option 06) filled on the gap at half size about 16.15 — the open was 3.4% through the trigger — with its first two targets struck under the fill; the third printed on the 16.62 high, a third out for +0.13, and the two-thirds remainder was flat at 15:30 about 16.00. Blended about −0.06 on an eighth of a percent, on a session the spot rose 8%. The doctrine is unchanged: the gap is the print, and a fill at the top of the open is claimed at the top of the open. The gold short (Option 07) filled at the daily close 4,121.82 with all three targets already printed — nothing is claimed on them; the structure is re-keyed and carried.

Not triggered. Options 03, 04 and 08 needed 30,713, 7,752 and 30,713 prints; the highs were 30,480 and 7,724. Not booked. The add-back rung (Option 08) is retired — there is no losing carry left to re-anchor.

Tuesday execution rule. A Monday close 137 under Friday's low, into the Qatar response and JOLTS at 10:00 New York, with the futures 44 over the close on the evening board. Nothing is entered on the opening bar. A cash open under 30,081 is the gap clause: Option 02 fills at half size on the first post-10:00 30-minute close that holds under it, first target rolled, and Option 01's remainder rolls its first target to the flat. A cash open over 30,432 stands the tacticals down until a post-10:00 rejection close prints back under 30,414 (Option 03). Between the two, the first qualifying close after 10:00 in either direction is the trade, and one tactical short per index at a time.

Step 9 — Trade Structures

Leveraged retail sizing. This plan does not prescribe position size in currency. The percentages are book-risk allocations under the framework's 20% tactical cap (R14 step 3, held by a fourth Brent settle over 101) and the halving rule (the Nasdaq summation at a new low): a "0.5%" structure risks half a percent of book equity between entry and stop, and a leveraged CFD account at up to 200× can express that with a fraction of margin. A trigger gapped through by more than one percent is half size, and a cash open through a gap-clause line is itself the fill — half size, first target rolled. The rates-banks licence is confirmed for a tenth session and the bank index closed back under 175, which returns the rung to the S&P fade. The R6 pre-alert halves any outright long; none is licensed. Nothing is entered on the opening bar.

Win probability is the framework's estimate that the first target prints before the stop within one day to one week, conditional on the trigger firing; it is not a backtest. It is calibrated to the scenario weights, to how this structure type has behaved across the last thirty days of issues, and to the distance from the last price. Anything at or below 50% is a lower-odds, higher-payoff structure and carries the muted pill. Two structures are carries — the structural remainder, in the money by 17, and the gold short filled at the bottom of a 3.8% bar — and one, Option 08, is unconventional: a quarter-end close fade keyed to the clock rather than to price, with a range-keyed stop, Wednesday only.

USTECH CFD, short — the last THIRD of the 0.125% structural rung, carried from the 24-Sep gap-clause fill ≈30,260 after two thirds were taken by target Monday (30,414 and 30,204 both printed on the 30,081 low). The remainder is 17 points in the money at the 30,277 close (44 underwater on the 30,320.4 CFD). No add. Gap clause (Tuesday, v9.90 precedence): a cash open OVER 30,480 (Monday's high) trims the remainder by half at the first post-10:00 New York close; a cash open under 30,081 (Monday's low) rolls the first target to the flat.

30,500 — trailed from 30,790: outside Monday's high 30,480, the 30-minute 69-average 30,479 and the 30,496 gate line — over the stack the rollover must hold under. It sits inside no open gap (gap #41 is below the tape).

Conditional on the carry (already filled); reward-to-risk from the 30,277 close about 0.9:1 to the first target against the 223-point stop distance, 1.5:1 to the flat. The odds sit just over half because C is modal alone with the count under 40 and the ten-year at 5.24, and because the first target is Monday's low, 196 points away, with two sessions of binaries (PCE, the monthly close) before the flat.
Why
The gate that armed this rung re-printed whole Monday — a daily close under 30,496 with the count under 45, and the count went under 40 with it. The structure did what a structural short is for: it paid nothing on its first target and 56 on its second, and the average of the two thirds taken is −49 per unit; the last third is the trade that remains. The stop is trailed to the lid the tape must not re-take, which turns a 348-point drawdown into a 223-point stop — the honest reason the odds are only 52 is the ten-year one basis point under escalation-3 into PCE.

NDX — Monday's low handed back: sell a holding close under 30,081 after a 30,313 print
Entry
USTECH CFD, sell-stop 0.25% (halving rule) on the first 30-minute close after 10:00 New York that holds under 30,081 — Monday's low, with the 30-minute band floor 30,094 thirteen points over it and the hourly band floor 30,134 over that — and only after the cash session has traded at or over 30,313 (the 30-minute EMA-5; 36 over the close). The qualifier is re-keyed to a fast average after the v9.91 version (30,544) sat 64 points over the day's high while the tape did the move without a fill — owned in the ledger. Void on a next-bar close back over 30,239 (the 30-minute 100-average). GAP CLAUSE (v9.90 precedence — the gap is the print): a cash open under 30,081 fills on the first post-10:00 close that holds under it at half size with the first target rolled to the second; a cash open under 29,933 stands the structure down (the structural remainder, Option 01, owns the move — same-bar exclusion).
Stop
30,365 — outside the daily EMA-5 30,357, the 30-minute EMA-14 30,351 and the 60-minute EMA-14 30,385 stack the failure must hold under. It sits inside no gap.
Targets
29,990 · 29,933 · 29,757
Win prob.
~46% to 29,990 · ~40% to 29,933 · ~28% to flat (29,757). Conditional on the holding close after a 30,313 print; reward-to-risk about 0.3:1 on the first target from 30,075 against the 290-point stop, 0.5:1 on the second, 1.1:1 on the flat — a poor ratio stated plainly: the first target is the daily EMA-14 confirmation, the payoff is the gap-#41 fill that follows.
Why
Every cash up-gap since 25 August has filled and the last 285 points of the 21-Sep gap (29,648–29,933) are the magnet 344 points under the tape; a holding close under Monday's low is the step that opens it, with the daily EMA-14 29,990 and MA-10 30,002 the confirmation on the way. The odds are under half because the tape has bounced 270 points off 30,081 once already, the Qatar response lands inside the horizon, and the qualifier is a fast average that prints on ordinary noise.

NDX — the floor-turned-lid fade: sell a rejection close back under 30,414 after a 30,431 print
Entry
USTECH CFD, short 0.25% (halving rule) at 30,409–30,431 — the 30-minute 20-average 30,409, Friday's low 30,414, the hourly 20-average 30,431 and the 30-minute 50-average 30,432, the floor the tape lost Monday — only on a 30-minute rejection close back under 30,414 after a print at or over 30,431 made after 10:00 New York. No tactical short on strength: a 30-minute close over 30,480 (Monday's high) before the rejection voids the day. Gap clause: a cash open over 30,431 is not chased — the structure waits for the rejection close or stands down.
Stop
30,500 — outside Monday's high 30,480, the 30-minute 69-average 30,479 and the gate line 30,496: over the lids the rejection must fail under; shared with the structural remainder by design.
Targets

Win prob.
~48% to 30,313 · ~38% to 30,239 · ~26% to flat (30,081). Conditional on the rejection close; reward-to-risk about 1.2:1 on the first target from 30,412 against the 88-point stop, 2.0:1 on the second, 3.8:1 on the flat.
Why
The v9.91 relief-fade zone (30,502–30,529) was never tested; the level that matters now is the one the tape lost — the old floor at 30,409–30,432 is a four-average stack with Friday's low inside it, the first lid a bounce has to clear. The odds are the best of the tacticals because the stop is tight and the first target is the fast-average cluster 100 points under; they are under half because a Qatar headline can gap the rejection.

SPX — the lid fade with the bank rung re-armed: sell a rejection close back under 7,714 after a 7,724 print
Entry
US500 CFD, short 0.5% (the rates-banks licence, confirmed a tenth session) plus the 0.25% BKX rung (re-armed — the banks closed 172.91, back under 175) at 7,710–7,724 — the 30-minute 20-average 7,710, the hourly 50-average 7,710, the 18-August lid floor 7,714 and Monday's high 7,724 (the 30-minute 69-average sits on it) — only on a 30-minute rejection close back under 7,714 after a print at or over 7,724 made after 10:00 New York, with both counts under 45 (34.60 / 37.62 — MET). A 30-minute close over 7,745 (the lid top) before the rejection voids the day.
Stop
7,747 — outside the 18-August lid top 7,745 and the 13-August band floor 7,748.5: beyond the lid. The record close 7,771 sits over it, accepted — a stop under it is the trade.
Targets
7,692 · 7,672 · 7,663
Win prob.
~50% to 7,692 · ~40% to 7,672 · ~30% to flat (7,663). Conditional on the rejection close; reward-to-risk about 0.6:1 on the first target from 7,712 against the 35-point stop, 1.1:1 on the second, 1.4:1 on the flat.
Why
The 18-August lid was traded through Friday and lost Monday; the tape closed 30 points under its floor with the hourly 50-average and the 30-minute 20-average sitting on it — the band is resistance again and the bank rung is back because the banks failed 175 in one session. The odds sit at half because the S&P has the shallower structure (the 20-day 7,672 is 13 under the close) and the R6 pre-alert printed on the NYSE, which is the broad tape confirming.

SPX — the gap-remnant sell-stop, re-armed: sell a holding close under 7,663 after a 7,687 print
Entry
US500 CFD, sell-stop 0.33% on the first 30-minute close after 10:00 New York that holds under 7,663 — the gap #42 remnant top (7,657.17–7,662.57), with the 30-minute band floor 7,664, Monday's low 7,667 and the 20-day 7,672 stacked over it — and only after the cash session has traded at or over 7,687 (the old gap #34 top = the daily EMA-14). Void on a next-bar close back over 7,672. GAP CLAUSE (v9.90 precedence): a cash open under 7,663 fills on the first post-10:00 close that holds under it, half size, the first target rolled to the second; a cash open under 7,641 (the 50-day) stands the structure down.
Stop
7,715 — outside the 18-August lid floor 7,714 and the 30-minute 20-average / hourly 50-average 7,710: over the band the failure must hold under. It sits inside no open gap.
Targets
7,657 · 7,641 · 7,629
Win prob.
~44% to 7,657 · ~36% to 7,641 · ~26% to flat (7,629). Conditional on the holding close after a 7,687 print; reward-to-risk about 0.1:1 on the first target from 7,660 against the 55-point stop (it is the fill, not the payoff), 0.3:1 on the second, 0.6:1 on the flat — taken for what follows under the 50-day.
Why
The same structure paid Monday (a fill ≈7,690 after the 7,724 open print; 7,681 and 7,672 both printed) and the remnant stayed open by four points — the tape has now approached it three times. Under it the 50-day 7,641 and the 4-August band top 7,629 are the next two shelves. The odds are under half because the remnant is 5.4 points wide and the stop is 55 away: it is a fill rule for the 50-day test, not a payoff on its own.

VIX — the doorway re-entry long, re-keyed: buy a 30-minute close over 16.28 with the S&P under 7,692
Entry
VIX CFD (spot-referenced), long 0.25% on the first 30-minute close after 10:00 New York over 16.28 (the 69-day; Monday's 16.62 high went through it and the close fell back 0.21 under) with the S&P under 7,692 (its 30-minute EMA-5) on the same bar — the bought-with-the-index condition. No add. Gap clause: a cash open over 16.28 fills at half size on the first post-10:00 close that holds over it, first target rolled (the Monday fill is the precedent).
Stop
15.60 — outside Monday's low 15.68 and the 20-day 15.72, on the 10-day; the old war-gap band and gap #44 are filled, so no magnet sits under the stop — Friday's low 14.68 is under it, accepted.
Targets
16.62 · 16.71 · 17.85
Win prob.
~42% to 16.62 · ~34% to 16.71 · ~22% to flat (17.85). Conditional on the close over 16.28 with the S&P under 7,692; reward-to-risk about 0.5:1 on the first target from 16.32 against the 0.72 stop distance, 0.5:1 on the second, 2.1:1 on the flat — the flat is the D+2 line and the payoff.
Why
The spot gapped 8% Monday and closed with the future 10.4% over it — the narrowest basis of the leg — which means the curve now agrees with the spot rather than leading it; a close over the 69-day with the S&P under its fast average is vol being bought with the index, not on a headline. The odds are low because the spot has given back every gap-up open of the leg by the close, and the Qatar response is a two-sided binary for vol.

XAUUSD — the filled short, re-keyed: short from 4,121.82, stop 4,246, targets 4,050 / 4,000 / 3,950
Entry
XAUUSD CFD, short 0.5% FILLED at the Monday daily close 4,121.82 — the trigger was a daily close under 4,246 with the ten-year over 5.00 (5.24) and the close printed 124 under the line on a −3.81% day. Every v9.91 target (4,235 / 4,228 / 4,205) printed before the fill and is STRUCK by the v9.84 rule (a target at or above a short's fill is not a target); the structure is re-keyed to the July shelf, the round number and the June low. No add. Gap clause: a Tuesday cash open under 4,050 takes a third at the first daily close and rolls the first target to the second.
Stop
4,246 — the trigger line itself, outside the daily EMA-5 4,242 and the 69-day 4,245 that sold Monday's open: over the line the break must hold under. The daily band floor 4,187 and the monthly EMA-14 4,147 sit between the price and the stop as resistance, accepted.
Targets
4,050 · 4,000 · 3,950
Win prob.
~48% to 4,050 · ~36% to 4,000 · ~24% to flat (3,950). Conditional on the carry (already filled); reward-to-risk from 4,122 about 0.6:1 on the first target against the 124-point stop, 1.0:1 on the second, 1.4:1 on the flat.
Why
Gold is the war-bid asset being sold for rate reasons — a 5.24 ten-year and a 101.19 dollar took 3.8% off it in a session and the daily-close trigger delivered the whole move on the confirmation, which is the cost of a daily-close basis (owned in the ledger). The July shelf at 4,050 and the June low near 3,950 are the next structure; the odds are under half because a 3.8% day mean-reverts more often than it extends and the stop is a full 124 points over the fill.

NDX — the quarter-end close fade: sell a post-14:00 ET Wednesday 30-minute close under the 30-minute 20-average, flat at the bell
Entry
USTECH CFD, short 0.25% (halving rule) on the first 30-minute close after 14:00 New York on Wednesday 30-Sep that prints under the 30-minute 20-average as read from Wednesday's capture (30,409 on Monday's chart; re-read Wednesday), and only if the session's high has held under 30,496 (the gate line) — the time-conditional expression of the month- and quarter-end. No add; no entry before 14:00; no entry on the 15:30–16:00 bar. Gap clause: none — the structure keys to intraday time, not to the open.
Stop
The session's high after 13:00 ET plus 60 points, capped at 30,500 — outside the afternoon range and under the gate line; a time-boxed structure carries a range-keyed stop, not a level-keyed one. If the post-13:00 high is within 60 of 30,496, the structure is not taken.
Targets
The session's low after 10:00 ET · the session's low minus 100 · 30,081
Win prob.
~45% to the session's post-10:00 low · ~30% to that low minus 100 · ~20% to flat (30,081). Conditional on the post-14:00 close under the 20-average with the gate line untouched; reward-to-risk depends on the afternoon range — the structure is not taken if the first target is closer than the stop distance.
Why
Unconventional. The Nasdaq-100 enters the September close +2.78% on the month while the S&P is −0.03% and long-duration bonds are down hard (TLT −5% on the month): the mechanical month- and quarter-end rebalance sells what rose relative to bonds, and it sells it in the last two hours. The framework normally keys entries to price; this one keys the entry to the clock and lets price supply the stop and targets — a calculated-risk expression of a flow, sized at a quarter and dead at the bell. The odds are under half because the flow is known and partly pre-traded, and because a Qatar signature inside the window voids it.

Market Path

Next 24 hours

The base case is a session inside 30,013–30,540 with a close between 30,100 and 30,450 — the no-lean range, centred on Monday's close, 527 points wide because Monday's true range against Friday's close was the wider of the last two. The S&P maps to 7,640–7,730, the VIX to 15.2–17.2, the ten-year to 5.12–5.32 and Brent to a 101–109 settle. The downside line is Monday's low 30,081: a holding close under it after a 30,313 print opens the daily EMA-14 at 29,990 and the gap #41 top at 29,933. The upside line is the floor the tape lost, 30,409–30,432: a rejection close back under 30,414 from it is the fade, and a daily close back over it with the count over 40 moves six points from the rollover path to the range path. The Qatar response is the two-sided input; a signature releases longs at half size and voids every tactical short, and a denial is worth nothing to the framework.

One week

The verdict week, one step down: 29,933–30,496 is the base case inside 29,648–30,780, with Wednesday's monthly and quarterly close the decision. A September close under 30,780 with the monthly RSI under 77.88 — it is 71.40 with two sessions left and the tape 504 under the high — locks the lower-peak retest the thesis has waited for since July; a close under the running quarterly band top at 30,381 would put the quarter back inside its band after two quarters on top of it. Reweighting up needs a daily close over 30,414 with the count over 40 (C to 34, B to 26), then the un-print. Reweighting down is a daily close under 29,933 (C and D to 36 each, B to 16), and with a VIX close over 17.85 or a verified credit close under 94 the shock path takes modal alone. PCE, the ISM and Friday's payrolls sit inside the week; the framework treats each as a binary with a 15:30 flat.

One month

The retest on a lower RSI has printed and turned; the monthly close locks or unlocks it Wednesday. A ten-year over five for four closes, one basis point under the next escalation, a thirty-year at a 2004 high and an October hike priced near 70% cap every relief rally, and the Fed has now said in public that AI demand is inflationary. The Qatar shuttle is the largest upside input if it ever produces a signature and the largest sell-the-news for the war bid — gold has already started, −7.2% on the month on rates alone. Central: 29,236–30,500 into mid-October, the first two weeks of Q3 earnings resolving the rollover read one way or the other.

Six months and year-end

Six months out the central case is a 27,000–30,800 range with downward drift while the monthly divergence resolves; a hike cycle with two more priced caps the multiple, and a Hormuz reopening remains both the largest upside input and the largest sell-the-news for the war-bid assets. A rejected offer and a denied report do not move the drift; a signature would move the near-term high, not the divergence. Year-end conditional on the September close: the base, a September close under 30,780 on a monthly RSI under 77.88 followed by a rollover resolution and recovery, is 27,500–29,800 for the Nasdaq-100 and 7,100–7,700 for the S&P; the shock tail on stacked inputs is 24,500–26,000; the bull tail on a signature, a settle under 101 twice, verified credit over 95 and the count over 50 is 32,000–33,500.

Sources and Data Discipline

Monday's closes and the session sequence are from TheStreet, Yahoo Finance and Investrade (the new-high / new-low counts); the Brent settle of $105.28 and the 108.83 high from CNBC, with the session narrative from investinglive; the ten-year at 5.24 and Governor Cook's remarks from TheStreet and the Bahnsen Group; gold from USAGold (citing Reuters) and Trading Economics, with the hike odds from TradingKey; the Iran diplomacy — the rejection, the Qatar shuttle, the sanctions-relief reports and the President's denial — from Axios, CBS News and Iran International. Every chart value is from Core_Charts_20260929.pdf, Gen 3, captured 07:07 Singapore Tuesday and read by manifest label; the NDXA50R print did not update on the capture and is carried; the AAII and NAAIM prints are the 24-Sep and 23-Sep surveys, carried by series. Carried values are flagged as such and not presented as Monday prints.

The Bottom Line

Monday repaired nothing and handed back what Friday had built: the Nasdaq-100 closed under Friday's low, the quarterly band top and the gate line in one session with the count under 40, the NYSE under its pre-alert and the ten-year one basis point under the next escalation. The rollover path is modal alone at 38%. The structural short paid two targets and carries a remainder with a trailed stop; the tactical that should have paid was designed out of the move and the design is fixed. The tactical line is a holding close under 30,081 or a rejection back under 30,414; the next decision point is the Qatar response and, above it, Wednesday's monthly close, which locks the lower-peak retest if the tape stays under 30,780.
