The Nasdaq-100 rose 1.13% to 29,822.52 on Wednesday, closing over its retirement line; the S&P 500 rose 0.58% to 7,757.17 and the VIX closed 16.68. The index opened 217 points over Tuesday's close, dropped to 29,593.70 in the first bar, then ran to 29,928.31 — 61 points over the 50-day — before fading to a close 86 over the daily EMA-5 [the line that retires the rollover read] and 45 under the 50-day; technology and the semiconductors led while advancers beat decliners by only 1.37-to-1 and the Nasdaq counted 216 new lows against 53 new highs. The ten-year rose a basis point to 5.13%; December Brent settled $108.82, a second consecutive settle under the 109.45 step, on a day the Revolutionary Guard said the strait was completely closed, Washington ordered non-emergency staff out of its Saudi embassy and a reported "final warning" was carried to Tehran. After the close Meta, IBM, Tesla and Texas Instruments all beat (Meta +3% to +4%, Lam Research −6% on its own beat); at 06:35 Singapore Thursday (18:35 New York Wednesday, the post-close board) the Nasdaq-100 CFD was 29,672.8 — 150 under the cash close and 63 under the retirement line — the S&P CFD 7,735.1 on its 20-day, Brent 109.98, gold 4,134.68 and the VIX future 18.48, a dollar-eighty over the spot.

The retirement line printed on a close, and the rollover read is retired. The Nasdaq-100 opened at 29,707.00, 217 points over Tuesday's close and four under Tuesday's high, inside the zone this framework had drawn for its structural short at 29,692–29,862; because the low of the day overlaps Tuesday's range, no daily gap was logged. The opening bar dropped 113 points to 29,593.70 — the 30-minute 50-average and the 100-day to the point, and out of the bottom of the zone — and was bought. The next two hours ran 335 points through the retirement line at 29,692 (29,736 on the fresh chart set), the 23.6% retracement at 29,907 and the 50-day at 29,867 to the high at 29,928.31 by midday; the afternoon faded 106 points to a close of 29,822.52, up 1.13%. That close is 86 points over the daily EMA-5 with the count at 47.52 — which is the written condition for retiring the rollover read, and it retires: the rollover path gives up four points, two each to the shock and range paths. The close is also 45 points under the 50-day after a 61-point print over it, which is the fourth line in two weeks the index has pierced on a print and not closed over — the rollover line, the lost shelf twice, the retirement line on Tuesday, the 50-day on Wednesday. It is a seventh consecutive close under 30,583. The daily stochastic crossed up from under 20 for the first time in the leg; the daily RSI reads 46.
The structural short was never filled, and is retired by its own rule. The structure needed a 30-minute rejection close back under 29,692 after a post-10:30 print inside the zone, and it was written with a 10:30 gate so that nothing is read off the opening bar. The opening bar closed about 29,640 — under the line — and was the only bar of the day to do so; the 10:00-to-10:30 bar closed about 29,780, and every bar after it closed over the line. No fill. The 16:00 close over the line with the count over 40 is the structure's own exit, and it is retired after seven arms and four re-keys. Under this framework's doctrine the loss that may not exist is claimed: had the gate not applied, the opening-bar fill near 29,640 at a sixteenth would have carried to the close about 182 points against, and that is stated so the retirement is not scored as costless. The gate did on the structural what it was written to do on the fades — keep the book off a bar that ran 335 points past the zone's top — and the cost of that rule on Wednesday is a trade that would have lost.
The S&P closed over its 20-day, and the broad market did not come with it. The S&P 500 rose 0.58% to 7,757.17: it opened on its 20-day at 7,736, held 7,709 in the opening bar on its 50-day stack, ran 61 points through the 20-day, the 10-day and the hourly band top to 7,770.40, and closed 22 over the 20-day — the first daily close over it since 12 October, which hands the range path two points from the shock path by the line written on Monday's issue. Technology rose 1.67%, industrials 0.91%, the semiconductor index 1.97%; communication services fell 1.11% on a satellite-rival scare in telecoms, real estate 0.76%, staples 0.73%, health care 0.49%. NYSE advancers beat decliners by 1.37-to-1; the advance-decline line opened +756 and closed +54. The Nasdaq Composite rose 1.05% and logged 216 new 52-week lows against 53 new highs. Thursday the NYSE rose and the chips were flat; Friday the NYSE rose and the chips fell 2.5%; Monday the NYSE fell and the chips rose 1.2%; Tuesday the NYSE rose 0.9% and the chips were flat; Wednesday the chips rose 1.1% and the NYSE rose a quarter of a percent on breadth that barely cleared even. Five sessions, five splits, three won by the broad side and two by the chips. The S&P's count rose 3.00 to 48.80 — fifteen net buy signals, 1.20 from the line that exits the broad tier and issues no S&P short at all; the NYSE Composite closed over its 50-day for the first time since 1 October with a third of its members over theirs.
The VIX closed under its line a second time and Brent settled under its step a second time: the shock path's two points go back. The spot opened at 17.25 — exactly Tuesday's low — printed 17.58, fell to 16.51 and closed 16.68, down 3.64%: a second consecutive close under the fixed 17.45 line, under the daily EMA-5 at 17.27, under every fast average but the 20-day. December Brent settled $108.82, up four cents, after topping $110 intraday — the second consecutive settle under the 109.45 step. Together they are the line written on 16 October for giving back the two points the shock path booked when the VIX first closed over 17.45, and the line printed: shock 36 to 34, range up two. It printed on the loudest headline day of the week, which is the point of writing weight lines on settles rather than on claims. The front future on the post-close board is 18.48, a dollar-eighty over the spot and inside the March gap the spot exited — the cash market has un-priced Friday's spike entirely, the futures market has not, and the basis is the gap.
Breadth moved three ways on one close. The Nasdaq-100's count rose 3.96 to 47.52 — four members turned their point-and-figure column to a buy — the first close over 45 since 7 October and 2.48 from the 50 line that lapses the structural-short licence; the share of members over their 50-day rose to 56.44. The Nasdaq oscillator crossed zero at +9.75 after ten negative closes — the first leg of the Nasdaq repair is on — and the Nasdaq summation rose for the first time in twelve sessions. The NYSE summation closed −670.14, a second consecutive close over −700 with the oscillator positive, which is the lift line written on Tuesday's issue: escalation-5 is withdrawn. Against that, the advance-decline line's +54 close does not count as the third close over +800 the range path needs from the rollover path, and the Nasdaq-100 advance-decline percent pierced +30 for a third session and closed under it for a third. The members confirm intraday and withdraw by the close, three days running.
Rates. The ten-year closed 5.13% on the chart, up a basis point, with the wires between 5.119 and 5.13 — a ninth consecutive close under 5.25, twelve basis points from the line that adds four to the shock path and thirteen from the 5.00 line that lapses its fast input and closes the gold short, which moved two further away. The two-year rose two to 4.81, the thirty-year fell one to 5.41; the $13 billion 20-year auction tailed by 0.9 basis points at 5.469%. The Fed is in blackout for next week's meeting; one prediction market prices a hold at 88% and a hike at 11%. The dollar index closed 101.70, under its 10-day a fifth day and its 20-day a second — the clause that halved the gold short printed on Tuesday and was applied on Wednesday's first hourly close.
Credit. The high-yield ETF closed 92.39 on a weekly render, up eleven cents — a thirtieth close under 95, a twenty-first under 94; no wire close was found. The spread series posted Tuesday's print flat at 3.29, two basis points narrower than the widest of the leg and 21 from the 3.50 line; Wednesday's print posts Thursday. Credit moved with the tape for the first time this week, by a fraction, and the correlation panel is still negative. The ladders stay shut by 2.61.
Oil and the strait. The Revolutionary Guard said the Strait of Hormuz is completely closed and that it will not allow passage, and claimed a supertanker caught fire on one of its mines south of the strait; the UK maritime agency logged incidents off Al Faw in Iraq and Bukha in Oman, and four missiles were reported fired toward ships near Iraqi waters. Houthi drones were reported at Aramco's Shaybah field — intercepted with no operational impact, per Riyadh; two dead, per an Iranian outlet, unverified — and at Aden's airport and the Al-Dhaba oil port. The State Department ordered non-emergency staff to leave the embassy in Saudi Arabia, with reports of preparations across the Gulf that were not confirmed; the President said he did not know and that "we continue to beat Iran." Pakistan's army chief was reported to have carried a "final warning" from Washington — concessions on the nuclear file or a widespread attack — and Iran's security council secretary was reported to have rejected the demands; Iran's foreign minister said there was little reason to expect progress; one Israeli paper reported a White House shift toward a pre-emptive strike, unconfirmed. Iraq opened a mediation and routes for Iraqi oil through the strait; Washington added sanctions; Putin received the US envoy and offered help on Iran. Brent settled four cents higher. Nothing was signed; outright index longs stay struck; a confirmed strike is the headline protocol's kinetic clause, which flattens every tactical structure at the first 30-minute close after the headline.
The monthly divergence. October's running bar holds a higher high than June on a monthly RSI of 68.77 against 77.88 — the gap narrowed to 9.11 from 10.65 on the +1.1% close — and the bar is 586 points under September's close of 30,408.50, down 1.93% on the month with six sessions left. The verdict is the monthly close on 30 October. The one-month central range, 28,564–30,294, held a third session. The year-end band, 27,500–29,800, was closed over by 22 points for the first time since 16 October; the band is a framework output conditional on the divergence holding, and it is not re-drawn on one close — a second consecutive close over its top with the count over 50 is written here as the review trigger. The S&P, at 7,757, is 57 over the top of its own band.
Three lines printed in full on one close, and the matrix moved for the first time in four issues. The rollover path's retirement line (a daily close over the daily EMA-5 with the count over 40) printed by 86 points: four off rollover, two each to shock and range. The shock path's reversal line (a VIX daily close under 17.45 and two consecutive December settles under 109.45) completed on the second settle: two from shock to range. The range path's re-take from shock on the S&P side (a daily close back over the 20-day) printed by 22: two more from shock to range. Two lines did not print: the Nasdaq-100's 50-day on a close, missed by 45 after a 61-point print over it, and the third advance-decline close over +800, which closed +54. On Tuesday's issue the week was described as the one in which the matrix moves on three closes; it moved on one. The weights below are the weights of 21 October; the lines are re-keyed, and Thursday's close can un-print the largest of them.
Path D falls 2 to 34% and stays modal — by four. It took two from the rollover path on the retirement line and gave two to the range path on its own reversal and two on the S&P's 20-day. What it keeps: the strait on its loudest day — a "completely closed" claim, a mined supertanker, an ordered departure from Riyadh, a reported final warning and a reported strike shift — on a Brent settle 11 dollars under the step-4 line; a ten-year with a five handle, twelve basis points from the line that adds four; a spread 21 basis points from the line that adds two; a VIX future a dollar-eighty over a spot that has un-priced the spike. D takes four on a ten-year close over 5.25, two on a VIX daily close over 22.31 or a 120 settle, two restored on a VIX daily close back over 17.45, two on a spread over 3.50 and two on a Composite close under 23,416. It gives two more to the range path on a daily Nasdaq-100 close over 29,867 with the breadth half met.
Path C falls 4 to 30%: its read is retired on price and its licence stands on the count. The line it was keyed to — re-keyed down four times because it is the daily EMA-5 as read — printed on the fifth test, from inside the zone it was drawn in, and the structural short keyed to it was retired without a fill. What C keeps: the count under 50 a thirty-fourth session (2.48 away); a seventh close under 30,583; a month down 1.9% on a monthly reading 9.11 under June's; a 50-day pierced by 61 and not closed over; four new Nasdaq lows for every new high on a +1% day; credit under 95 a thirtieth close. C is re-instated — four points back, two from each of the other two — on a daily close back under 29,736 with the count under 50, and the post-close board sits 63 points under that line, so Thursday's close decides it from below. It draws two more from the range path on a daily close under 28,777 with the count under 40, and gives two on the third advance-decline close over +800.
Path B rises 6 to 28% — the largest single-session move of the leg. Two from rollover on the retirement line, two from shock on the reversal, two from shock on the S&P's 20-day. The path's shape printed a fifth session: the two sides of the market split again, the chips' way this time, which makes the rotation two-way — and two-way rotation is the range path's definition. Against it: the Nasdaq-100 could not close over its 50-day, the broad market did not join the chip bid, the S&P's 20-day was closed over by 22 with the board already back on it, and the three sentiment and breadth lines that would confirm the path (the 50-day, the advance-decline third close, the counts over 50) all stopped short. B takes two more from D on a daily Nasdaq-100 close over 29,867, and two from C on the advance-decline third close; it gives two back to D on a daily S&P close under 7,733, and two each back to C and D on a daily Nasdaq-100 close under 29,736 with the count under 50.
Path A holds at 8%. The count moved toward its gate a second session — 47.52, 2.48 from 50 — and high-yield moved eleven cents toward its own, 2.61 under 95. A final warning and an ordered departure are not a signature.
The structural was retired unfilled, and the loss that may not exist is claimed. Option 03 needed a 30-minute rejection close back under 29,692 after a post-10:30 print inside 29,692–29,862; the open at 29,707 was inside the zone and armed the half-size clause fill. The opening bar closed about 29,640, under the line, before the 10:30 gate; the 10:00-to-10:30 bar closed about 29,780 and no later bar closed under the line — the lowest post-10:30 close was about 29,760 on a late dip whose wick touched 29,700. No fill. The daily close over 29,692 with the count over 40 is the structure's written exit; it is retired after being armed on 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20 and 21 October and filled on none of them. Doctrine: the opening-bar fill near 29,640 at a sixteenth, carried to the close, is about 182 points against, and it is claimed at that size so that a rule which kept the book out of a losing trade is not scored as a free one. Tuesday's issue said that from inside the zone on the board, expiry was the least likely outcome; the outcome was the third one, retirement, and that is a miss.
The shelf fade stood down, then voided; the sell-stops never came close. Option 01 was stood down by its clause at the open (29,707 over the 29,692 line) and voided when the 10:30 bar closed over the line; the zone at 29,547–29,610 was printed only in the opening bar, which is not read. Three voids by rule in three sessions, and the shelf fade is retired from the set in favour of a fade above the market. Option 02's trigger at 29,449 was 145 under the low; Option 05's at 7,702 was seven under the S&P's low. No cost on any of them.
The S&P fade did not trigger, and its void line is moot. Option 04 needed a post-10:30 print inside 7,730–7,753 and a rejection close back under 7,730; the open at 7,736 was inside the zone and was not chased, the opening bar's dip to 7,709 came before the gate, and from 10:30 the index ran to 7,770 without a close back under 7,730. Whether a 30-minute close printed over the 7,765 void line is inside the image's resolution — the closes near the high read between 7,763 and 7,768 — and does not matter, because no rejection followed either way. No cost.
The VIX doorway printed its qualifier at the open and never its trigger. Option 06 needed a 30-minute close back over 17.85 after a post-10:30 print under 17.25. The open was 17.25 exactly; the spot printed 16.51 after 10:30; the high of the day was 17.58, 27 cents under the trigger. No fill, no cost. VIX fills cannot be verified inside this pipeline.
The gold short was halved by its clause, and the released half is scored at the day's high. The dollar's Tuesday close under 101.77 halved Option 08 from an eighth to a sixteenth at Wednesday's first hourly close. There is no hourly gold record in the capture: the chart's Wednesday bar opened 4,125.53 and printed 4,142.23 at its high, and the released sixteenth is scored at the high — about one point against the 4,141 fill — because a loss that may not exist is claimed and the fifteen points it would show at the open are not. Booked: about −1 at a sixteenth. The remaining sixteenth closed the bar at 4,138.01, about three onside on the chart and six on the board; the exit line was not closed over and re-keys to the fresh daily EMA-14 at 4,161; the ten-year holds the gate. Option 07, the add-rung, needed a close under 4,100 with the dollar over its 10-day: the low was 4,105.00 and the dollar closed under its 10-day a fifth day. Neither gate.
Wednesday's map: three of five. The Nasdaq-100 closed 29,822.52, 31 points over the range top at 29,791 — an upside miss after Tuesday's clean sweep; the S&P closed 7,757.17, four over its 7,753 top; the VIX 16.68 inside 16.0–18.8; the ten-year 5.13 inside 5.01–5.21; December Brent 108.82 inside 104–112. One miss after a hit is not three same-side misses, so the width stays at one times the wider of the last two true ranges, which is Tuesday's 503.
Calls that resolved. "The day is decided at 16:00 by which side of 29,692 the close prints on" printed: over, and the read retired. "A second settle under 109.45 on Wednesday books the D −2" printed. "The S&P board is 2.5 over 7,733; a daily close over it returns two points to the range path" printed. "The 10:30 bar is the first read" printed: it read about 29,780 and stood both fades down. "The first move is the test of 29,692–29,862 from inside it" missed on sequence: the open was inside, the first move was a 113-point drop out of the zone's floor, and the test came from below an hour later and ran through the zone's top. That is the third consecutive session on which the level was right and the order wrong — "from below" on Monday was right, "from inside" on Tuesday was from below, "from inside" on Wednesday was from below again — and the sequence call is retired from the 24-hour paragraph, which from this issue names the levels, the decision line and the first read only. Tesla, Meta, IBM and Texas Instruments were named as the binary; all four beat, and the board gave back 150 points after the prints anyway. The breadth vendor revised Tuesday's equity put-call print a second time in two sessions (0.73 to 0.56); the level read is used and the day-to-day read is not.

Win probability is the framework's estimate that the first target prints before the stop within one day to one week, conditional on the trigger firing; it is not a backtest. It is calibrated to the scenario weights, to how each structure type has behaved across the last thirty days of issues — sell-stops paid twice two weeks ago under their clauses and have since been armed by their clauses three times without filling; fades have met their triggers three times this month for a scratch, an unclaimed gain and a claimed loss, missed by four points on Friday, and were voided by rule on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; the structural armed seven times, filled never and is retired; the doorway long filled cleanly on 19 October, scratched, and has not triggered since; the gold short is onside three sessions running, the first of nine gold structures to be, and has just been halved by its own clause — and to the distance from the last price. All eight sit under 50% and carry the muted pill: lower-odds, higher-payoff structures. No outright index long is issued, because nothing is signed. Three structures are unconventional: Option 03, a conditional bracket that expresses the structural's re-arm on the day it would print; Option 07, the gold short carried with the framework's rate gate as its exit; and Option 08, a gold add-rung keyed to a second gate.
| # | Structure | Win prob. | Instrument | Side |

| 01 | NDX — the 50-day fade from below: sell a rejection close back under 29,867 after a post-10:30 print inside 29,867–29,928 — the board 194 under the zone, armed and not chased | ~32% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (rejection) |
| 02 | NDX — the retirement line lost from above: sell a holding close under 29,716 after a 29,787 print, with the buffered exhaustion rule and the gap clause — the board 43 under the trigger | ~34% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (sell-stop) |
| 03 | NDX — the re-instatement bracket: sell a 30-minute close back under 29,736 only after the same session has printed over 29,867 post-10:30; eighth size; carries to Friday only if the daily close is under 29,736 (unconventional) | ~26% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (conditional bracket, eighth size) |
| 04 | SPX — the band-top fade with the bank rung, half size under the broad-tier review: sell a rejection close back under 7,769 after a post-10:30 print inside 7,769–7,779 | ~30% | SPX (US500 CFD) | Short (rejection + bank rung, half size) |
| 05 | SPX — the 20-day lost again, half size: sell a holding close under 7,733 after a 7,748 print, with the buffered exhaustion rule and the gap clause — the board on the trigger | ~30% | SPX (US500 CFD) | Short (sell-stop, half size) |
| 06 | VIX — the doorway re-entry over the hourly mid, re-keyed to Wednesday's floor, with the taper: buy a 30-minute close back over 17.03 after a post-10:30 print under 16.51; full size to 17.27, half size to 17.79, none above | ~30% | VIX (CFD, spot-referenced) | Long (convexity, tapered) |
| 07 | XAUUSD — the rate-gate short, carried at a sixteenth from ≈4,141 after Wednesday's halving: stop 4,200; targets 4,044 / 3,937 / 3,844; a daily close back over 4,161 or a ten-year close at or under 5.00 closes it (unconventional) | ~36% | XAUUSD (CFD) | Short (carried, sixteenth size) |
| 08 | XAUUSD — the dollar-gate add-rung, re-keyed to Wednesday's low: add a sixteenth on the first daily close under 4,105 with the dollar index closing over its 10-day (102.06) the same day (unconventional) | ~22% | XAUUSD (CFD) | Short (add-rung, sixteenth size) |
The base case is a session inside 29,571–30,074 with a close between 29,671 and 29,974 — the no-lean range, centred on Wednesday's close at one times the wider of the last two true ranges, which is Tuesday's 503; Wednesday's was 335. The S&P maps to 7,717–7,797 with a close of 7,733–7,781, Tuesday's 80-point true range re-centred; the VIX to 15.7–17.6, the ten-year to 5.03–5.23 and the December Brent settle to 104–113. The reasoning runs in four steps. The index closed 86 over the retirement line and 45 under the 50-day, and the board has given back 150 points overnight to sit 63 under the line: the two lines that decide the day are one on each side of the board. The daily stochastic crossed up from 14 and the daily RSI is 46 — the oversold that fed Wednesday's run is spent on the daily now, not only on the hourly. Half the members are over their 50-day and the count is 2.48 from the line that ends the structural licence. So the levels are 29,736 and 29,716 under the board, where the sell-stop's clause is armed, and 29,867–29,928 over it, where the fade is armed and not chased; the decision line is 29,736 at 16:00 — a daily close under it with the count under 50 re-instates the rollover read at 34, a daily close over 29,867 with the members' share over 40 hands two more to the range path; and the first read is the 10:30 bar. The sequence of those moves is not called: three consecutive sequence calls have had the level right and the order wrong, and the paragraph names the levels, the decision line and the first read only.
The base case is 29,594–30,010 inside 28,777–30,583, and the question for the week is whether Wednesday's three closes hold. Two are one close from un-printing: the retirement line (a daily close back under 29,736 with the count under 50 returns four points to the rollover path, and the board is under it) and the S&P's 20-day (a daily close back under 7,733 returns two to the shock path, and the board is on it). Two more are one close from printing the range path's way: the 50-day (29,867 on a daily close with the breadth half met) and the third advance-decline close over +800. If the Nasdaq-100 holds 29,736 on Thursday's and Friday's closes and prints the 50-day, the range and shock paths are level at 30–32 going into the FOMC; if it gives the line back on Thursday, the rollover read returns at 34 and the structural re-arms for Friday. The tests: 29,736 and 29,867 on the Nasdaq-100; 7,733 and 7,779 on the S&P; both counts against 50, which end the structural licence and the S&P short issue respectively; the ten-year against 5.00 and 5.25; the VIX against 17.45, 19 and 22.31; the Brent settle against 120, since the 109.45 step no longer moves weight; the spread against 3.50; the NYSE summation against −700; and the strait, where an ordered departure and a reported strike shift are the week's binary, not an earnings print. The downside path inside the week runs 29,716, 29,648, 29,594, 29,490, 29,461, 29,331, 29,209, 29,109, 28,777, 28,564, the 3 August gap at 28,440–28,274, the running quarterly EMA-5 at 28,060 and the 61.8% retracement at 27,753 on the 200-day; for the S&P, 7,733, 7,715, 7,705, 7,687, 7,668, 7,653, 7,632, 7,617, 7,600 and 7,521.
October holds a higher high than June on a lower monthly momentum reading, fifteen sessions in, with the gap between the readings at 9.11 — narrower than Tuesday's 10.65 after the 1.1% close — and the running bar 586 points under September's close with six sessions left, a 7.3% lower shadow at 29,073 and a high of 31,361. The one-month central range, 28,564–30,294, held a third session and is unchanged: the close is 1,258 over its floor and 472 under its top. The Fed meets on the 27th and 28th in blackout with a hold about 88–96% priced depending on the venue; the month closes on the 30th and the US votes on 3 November. The upside path still needs five conditions and one of them moved a second session: a signed Hormuz date, two Brent settles under 101 against a settle of 108.82, high-yield over 95 (2.61 away), the ten-year under 4.90 (23 basis points away) and the count over 50 (2.48 away). The verdict is the monthly close: over 31,117 with the monthly RSI over 77.88 invalidates, 1,295 points and 9.11 RSI points away; a close under 30,408.50 makes October a down month after a record print, which is the shape the divergence describes, and the bar is 586 under it.
Six months out the central case is a 27,000–31,600 range with downward drift while the monthly divergence resolves; the top of that range is unchanged for a tenth issue, and the index sits in its upper-middle after Wednesday. Five sessions of two-way rotation — the chips down 2.5%, up 1.2%, flat, up 1.1%; the broad market up, up, down, up, flat — is rotation inside a range, not a resolution of it, and the range path's weight at 28 is the highest since 7 October. A Hormuz reopening remains both the largest upside input and the largest sell-the-news for the war-bid assets, gold first; a return to strikes remains the largest downside input, and an ordered departure and a reported strike shift arrived on the same day as a four-cent Brent settle. To year-end the conditional base case stays 27,500–29,800 for the Nasdaq-100 and 7,100–7,700 for the S&P. The Nasdaq-100 closed 22 points over the top of its band on Wednesday for the first time since 16 October; the S&P is 57 over the top of its own. The band is a framework output conditional on the divergence holding, not a forecast; it is withdrawn if October closes over 31,117 with the monthly RSI over 77.88, and it is not re-drawn on one close over its top — a second consecutive close over 29,800 with the count over 50 is the written review trigger.
Wednesday's index closes, the sector moves, the breadth ratio, the Treasury closes, the Brent and WTI settlements and the Iran and Hormuz items are from the Cappnotes closing look and the Newsquawk Asia-Pacific opening news; the late-session index levels, the Treasury path, the 20-year auction, the dollar and the spot gold print from investingLive; the sector table, the crude inventory draw and the Fed calendar from Investrade; the tanker-mine claim, the Kpler count and Tuesday's $111.99 Brent high from Discovery Alert; the after-hours earnings for Meta, Tesla, IBM and Texas Instruments from Yahoo Finance and CNBC; the high-yield spread from FRED as rendered on the chart. Every chart value is from Core_Charts_20261022.pdf, Gen 3, 55 of 55 core charts resolved by manifest label, captured 06:18 Singapore Thursday; live prices from the 06:35 capture, which is Wednesday's post-close board after the earnings prints. Eleven flags, of which these matter most. The Brent settlement is printed by one wire with a November month code and by two others as December; the arithmetic against Tuesday's December settle matches and it is treated as December. The ten-year's wire closes range from 5.119 to 5.145; the chart's 5.13 governs. The Nasdaq and NYSE summation charts are weekly renders whose header deltas are week-to-date, and the closes used are reconciled from the prior close plus the oscillator. The breadth vendor's chart opens the Nasdaq-100 count 2.97 over Tuesday's recorded close and implies a second revision to the equity put-call series in two sessions; both are flagged, not restated. No hourly gold record exists, so the halved sixteenth is scored at the day's high. Intraday sequences are read from 30-minute images that resolve about four to five Nasdaq-100 points, under one S&P point and two VIX cents; the structural's opening-bar close and the S&P fade's void closes are inside that resolution and are stated as such. No wire close was found for the VIX or the high-yield ETF; the charts govern. The sentiment surveys are last week's prints and update Thursday US time. Carried values are not presented as Wednesday prints.
What repaired: the Nasdaq-100 closed over the line that retires the rollover read, the S&P closed over its 20-day for the first time in seven sessions, the count rose with price for the first time in the leg, the Nasdaq oscillator crossed zero and the NYSE summation withdrew its own escalation; the VIX's second close under its line and Brent's second settle under its step gave the shock path back its two points. What did not: the 50-day was pierced by 61 and not closed over, the broad market did not join the chip bid, the broader Nasdaq logged four new lows for every new high, nothing was signed and an embassy was told to leave. Three lines printed on one close — shock 34, rollover 30, range 28, bull 8 — and the board opens 63 points under the first of them. The tactical lines are 29,716 and 29,867–29,928 for the Nasdaq-100, 7,733 and 7,769–7,779 for the S&P at half size, all flat by 15:30; the gold sixteenth carries with its exit at 4,161. The next decision points are the 10:30 bar, the 16:00 close against 29,736, and the strait.
