The Nasdaq-100 closed flat at 28,957.53 on Friday after a 335-point rally failed at 29,161; the S&P 500 fell 0.52% to 7,623.68 and the VIX closed 19.45. The index opened seven points under Thursday's low, ran through the top of the August launch gap [29,109 — the line the structural short is written on] before noon and gave it all back; the first 30-minute close back under that line filled the structural at about 29,095, its first fill in nine arms. The S&P lost its 69-day average and printed a new October low at 7,612 with decliners 1.72-to-1 while the semiconductor index rose 0.6%. The ten-year closed exactly 5.00%, a second consecutive close at or under the line; December Brent settled $116.72, up 3.14%, the highest since April, on Houthi strikes inside Saudi Arabia. Over the weekend Riyadh said no oil infrastructure was damaged, the President said the war could "gradually wind down", and tanker trackers put October's Hormuz flows at 80% of pre-war. At 06:45 Singapore Monday (18:45 New York Sunday, the futures re-open) the December Nasdaq-100 future was 29,285 — about 29,125 in cash terms — the S&P future 7,692.5 (about 7,656 cash), the VIX future 19.43, gold 4,002 after a Sunday low of 3,976, and the Brent quote 110.50 — the January contract, which sits $4.95 under December; December itself was about 115.5.

The structural filled — for the first time — at the line it was written on. The Nasdaq-100 opened at 28,847.82, 111 points under Thursday's close and seven under Thursday's low, printed 28,825.72 in the opening bar, and was bought: by noon it had run 335 points through the daily band floor, the 25 August pivot band and the top of the 4 August launch gap at 29,109 to a high of 29,161.03. That was the retest from below the structure required, and the first 30-minute close back under 29,109 after it — at about 29,095, the image resolves five points — was the written fill, at an eighth. The afternoon gave the rally back and the index closed 28,957.53, down 1.16 points: 152 under the gap top, 181 over its floor, inside the launch gap a second session. The structural is about 138 points onside at the cash close. It has been armed nine times since 13 October — re-keyed down four times, retired once unfilled, re-armed on Thursday's gap — and Friday was the first session it was in the book. Because the chart set is fresh, the line that retires it has moved: the daily EMA-5 as read is now 29,304, not 29,477, and the rollover read retires on a daily close over 29,304 with the count over 40. The index closed 346 under it, back inside its daily band after Thursday's close outside it, a ninth consecutive close under 30,583.
The S&P lost its 69-day and printed a new October low, and the broad market sold with it. The S&P 500 opened on Thursday's low, rallied 23 points to 7,660.15 — 2.85 under the level the sell-stop needed to see before it could arm — and then fell to 7,612.07, under the old October low by 4.7 points and into the 4 August gap, closing 7,623.68, down 0.52%: 41 under the 69-day it had held to 68 cents on Thursday, under its June high for the first time since 20 October, 18 over its daily band floor and 20 over its 100-day. This time there was no other half of the market holding: decliners beat advancers 1.72-to-1, nearly three of every four S&P members fell, the equal-weight index fell 0.77% and lagged the cap-weighted one, the Dow fell 1.23%, and energy — up 2.60% to a record — was the only sector higher. The chips, which broke on Thursday, steadied: the semiconductor index rose 0.6% and technology 0.4%. Seven sessions, seven splits; this was the first the chips' way with the broad side down. "Oil replaced AI as the market's main worry" is how the closing wire put it, and the sector table agrees.
The ten-year stopped on 5.00, and the line written for the way down printed by nothing. The ten-year rose four basis points to 5.00% on the chart — to the hundredth — and 4.999% on the wire. Thursday's issue wrote that a second consecutive close at or under 5.00 moves two points from the shock path to the range path, because the input had been booked on two closes over the line and nothing had been written for its exit. The rule reads "at or under", and it is applied at its edge: D 34, B 24. It is said as what it is — a line printed at the line, on the day oil settled at a four-year high and credit printed the widest spread of the leg; the three shock inputs disagreed, and the framework books the one that printed. The mirror is written today: a close back over 5.00 returns the two points and re-arms the gold short's gate. A hawkish hold on Wednesday with a December hike confirmed could deliver that on the decision itself. The two-year and thirty-year rose four basis points each; the long-bond ETF gave back half a percent; the dollar rose 0.18% to 101.75 and stayed under both its fast averages.
The S&P's count printed the tier exit — on the day its price did the opposite. The S&P bullish percent rose 0.60 to 50.20, a first close over 50 since 5 September, three members turning their point-and-figure columns to a buy on a day three of four members fell. The rule written on 20 October is written on the count, not the tape: a close over 50 exits the broad tier, no S&P short is issued, and both S&P structures are withdrawn. They are withdrawn, and the bank rung with them. The columns lag the tape by a day or two, and the cost is stated: the tier exited on a day an S&P short would have paid. A close back under 45 re-opens the tier under review. The Nasdaq-100's count did not move by a hundredth — 42.57, open, high, low and close — on a day the index round-tripped 335 points; the licence for the structural stands exactly where it stood, 7.43 from the line that would lapse it. Underneath, the Nasdaq-100's own advance-decline percent closed −33.66: two thirds of the members fell on a flat index day, the mirror of Thursday's weights break, and a close under −30 adds to the rollover count, now 18. The Nasdaq oscillator closed back under zero (leg 1 of the repair off), its summation fell (rises reset to zero of three), the NYSE oscillator fell 15 points to +17.46 and stayed positive, the NYSE Composite closed under its 50-day after two sessions over it, and the transports held 20,000 by 42 points.
The VIX held 19 a second time and the future moved onto the spot. The spot opened 19.18, printed 20.66 before noon — over Thursday's 20.31, which re-keys the countertrend cover line for any filled tactical short to 20.66 — fell to 18.87 in the afternoon and closed 19.45, up 2.21%: a second daily close over 19, so the leg-3 regime stays on; over 17.45, so the shock path's two volatility points stand; twelve cents under the daily band top. The front future on the Sunday board is 19.43 — two cents under the spot. On Wednesday the future was a dollar-eighty over the spot and this issue called that basis the gap; on Thursday the spot closed it from below; on Friday it went flat. The futures market no longer prices a drift either way into a Fed decision it rates a 92% hold. The term structure inverted intraday a fourth time in six sessions.
Oil and the strait — and the roll. December Brent settled $116.72 on Friday, up $3.55, the highest settlement since 29 April and $2.28 over the 4 May four-year high the framework had been measuring against — a twelfth settle over 101, 6.2% higher on the week, a third weekly gain. The settle is over the daily band top by $2.01 and printed at the weekly band top, with the daily RSI at 70: overbought into the December expiry on Friday and the FOMC on Wednesday. The four-year high settled over is the second re-arm of the step-4 watch; it carries no weight. The shock path's two oil points were given back on consecutive settles under 109.45 and are not re-booked by settles over it; the next oil-side line is 120, which is R14's fourth step — equity to 10% — and $3.28 away. Then the weekend. The Houthis claimed strikes on Aramco's Yanbu facilities, the Rabigh refinery, pumping stations, the East-West pipeline and several airports on Saturday; Riyadh confirmed no damage to oil infrastructure and said it intercepted two ballistic missiles toward Yanbu and Taif, and on Sunday a ballistic missile toward Riyadh, a drone in the Riyadh region, a cruise missile toward Khamis Mushait and ten ballistic missiles toward the south. The US ambassador to Turkey said a strike on Iran was "absolutely" possible; the President said "if that's the case, I don't know anything about it", that the war could "gradually wind down", and that he would decide soon between a deal and resumed operations. The UN ambassador said the naval blockade continues indefinitely. Iran's president meets Putin this week. Kpler put Hormuz flows at 11.7 million barrels a day in October, from 9.8 in September against 14.5 pre-war, with Middle East exports above the pre-February level by bypass routes — Aramco's East-West line is running 7 million barrels a day, from 2 — and physical crude prices falling while futures rose. Nothing was signed; words are not a signature; outright index longs stay struck. The roll has its own section below.
Rates and the Fed. The regime did not change on the 5.00 print: escalation-3 stays withdrawn an eleventh session, 25 basis points from the 5.25 line that re-books it; the 4.94 first-withdrawal line is six basis points under. One prediction market prices a hold on Wednesday at 92%; the futures market prices a December hike at about 71%, one research house at 84%, and all hundred economists in a wire poll expect December. PCE prints Thursday at 08:30 and Intel reports after Thursday's close; Alphabet, Microsoft and Amazon report during the week; Exxon, the October monthly close and the December Brent expiry fall on Friday; Israel votes Tuesday; the US votes 3 November. The Fed is in blackout to the 28th.
Credit. The high-yield ETF closed 92.52 on a weekly render, a cent higher on the day, a thirty-second close under 95. The spread series posted Thursday's print on Friday: 3.40, thirteen basis points wider, the widest of the leg and ten from the 3.50 line that adds two points to the shock path. Friday's print — the day the broad market sold — posts Monday, and is the week's first weight test. The ladders stay shut by 2.48.
The monthly divergence. October's running bar holds a higher high than June on a monthly RSI of 64.91 against 77.88 — the gap 12.97, unchanged on a flat close — and sits 1,451 points under September's close, down 4.77% on the month with five sessions left. The S&P's month turned negative on Friday's new low, from +0.16% to −0.36%: a record print followed by a down month, the Nasdaq-100's shape, now on the S&P too. The one-month central range, 28,564–30,294, held a fifth session by 394; the year-end band, 27,500–29,800, has the Nasdaq-100 inside by 842 and the S&P 76 under its own top. The review trigger written on Wednesday — a second consecutive close over 29,800 with the count over 50 — did not print and is retired with the week. The verdict is the monthly close on Friday.
The weekend watchlist shows Brent at 110.50, down 2.42 from Thursday's 112.92 and 6.22 from Friday's settle. Most of that is not a move in the price of oil. Thursday's quote was the December contract. Sunday's quote is the January contract — the quote page rolled ahead of December's expiry on Friday 30 October — and the two months are not the same price: on Sunday's futures board December was 115.51 and January 110.56, a $4.95 gap, with February at 106.41, March at 103.04, June at 95.66 and December 2027 at 86.50. That shape is backwardation — the market pays most for oil now and progressively less for oil later — and it is what a market looks like when it expects the strait's risk premium to decay rather than compound. Decomposed: against Thursday's board, December ROSE $2.59 and the watchlist fell $2.42 because the roll took $4.95 off; against Friday's settle, December fell $1.21 (−1.0%) and the roll took the other $4.95.
The dollar of price that did move, moved for four reasons. First, the Friday settle had priced Saturday's claims before they were made — it was Houthi strikes inside Saudi Arabia that drove Friday's $3.55 — and Riyadh's confirmation that no oil site was damaged took part of that premium back. Second, the President's weekend language — "gradually wind down", a decision "soon" — leaned toward a deal on a weekend the strike camp had no new facts. Third, the physical market has been diverging from the futures market for a week: Kpler's October numbers put Hormuz flows at 80% of pre-war and Gulf exports above pre-war by bypass, physical crude prices fell while futures rose, and tanker rates eased from their records. Fourth, position: a settle at the weekly band top with the daily RSI at 70, a 6% week, and the December contract expiring Friday — a market that was long December into an expiry had reason to lighten on the first quiet print. Against all of that: at least 25 ships hit in Hormuz in the first twenty days of October (trackers say 40–50), freight at records, inventories low (EIA crude −3.06 million barrels), OPEC+ meeting on 1 November with a hold expected and Gulf output under quota, Libya's pipeline shut, the blockade "indefinite", a reported post-midterm strike plan with targets and carriers. December was still $2.59 higher on Sunday night than on Thursday night.
What the framework does with it. Nothing, by rule. R14 keys to the front-month settle across contract expiry — a rule written on 28 September when the November roll produced the same artefact — and a board print on a different contract is a roll, flagged, not a settle. December settles count through Friday's expiry; the January settle counts from Monday 2 November. On that day the 120 step will be about $9.40 away instead of $3.28, and the 101 restore line about $9.60 away instead of $15.72, with no change in the price of oil — stated now so that the week after the expiry is not read as a retreat. The one-dollar Sunday pullback is price and is not a settle either. R14 step 3 stands at 20%; the step-4 watch is armed twice; the lines are 120 on December through Friday, and 109.45 with a VIX close under 17.45 on the way down. Brent is a macro overlay in this framework, not a trade instrument, and there is no oil position.
One line printed on Friday's close, and it printed at the line: the ten-year's second consecutive close at or under 5.00 — two points from the shock path to the range path, by the rule written on Thursday for the way down. The shock and rollover paths are level for the first time since 24 September, on the shock path's loss rather than the rollover path's gain. Printed without weight: the S&P's count over 50 (the broad tier exits — a structure rule, not a weight rule); the structural's fill; Brent over its four-year high (the step-4 watch's second re-arm); the Nasdaq-100's advance-decline percent under −30 (the rollover count); the Nasdaq oscillator under zero; the NYSE Composite under its 50-day. Not printed: 29,477 or its fresh reading 29,304 on a close (the read stands); 28,777 (the low was 49 over it, and the count is over 40 besides); 22.31 (the high was 20.66); 120 (3.28 away); the spread at 3.50 (0.10 away on Thursday's print); the Composite under its 200-day; the third advance-decline close over +800 (−711).
Path D falls 2 to 34% and shares the modal seat. It gave two to the range path on the rate line — the only one of its three inputs that moved, and it moved the wrong way for the path on the day the other two moved the right way: a $116.72 settle, a four-year high, 3.28 from the line that adds two and takes equity to 10%; a spread at 3.40, the widest of the leg, 0.10 from the line that adds two. What D keeps besides: a reported strike plan with a date range after 3 November; the blockade "indefinite"; 25 to 50 ships hit in a month; a VIX over 19 a second close with its term structure inverting intraday; the S&P under its 69-day at a new October low with the broad market sold. D takes two on a ten-year close back over 5.00 (new — the mirror), two on a 120 December settle through Friday or a January settle at 120 from Monday, two on a spread over 3.50, two on a VIX daily close over 22.31, four on a ten-year close over 5.25 and two on a Composite close under 23,434; it gives two to the range path on a daily S&P close back over 7,727 and two on a VIX daily close back under 17.45 with the settle back under 109.45.
Path C holds at 34% and is level with D — with its instrument in the book. The structural filled at the launch gap's top on Friday, which is the first expression of the rollover read in the book since the read was written; a ninth close under 30,583; a second close inside the August launch gap; the fresh retirement line 346 over the close; two thirds of the members down on a flat index day; the Nasdaq oscillator back under zero; a month down 4.8% on a monthly reading 12.97 under June's; the count sitting still under 45. Against it, the caution its own internal watch raises: the transports held 20,000 a second close, by 42; half the members are over their 50-day; the index closed back inside its daily band. C retires on a daily close over 29,304 with the count over 40 — four points away and the structural closed on the print; it takes two more from the range path on a daily close under 28,777 with the count under 40, and gives two on a third advance-decline close over +800.
Path B rises 2 to 24% — from the rate line, not the tape. The range path gained on the day its evidence was weakest: the broad market sold with the index, the NYSE Composite lost its 50-day, the advance-decline line closed −711. What B keeps is the count — the S&P's members' columns printed the tier exit, which says the broad market is being bought even on a day its price was sold — and the transports over 20,000. B takes two from D on a daily S&P close back over 7,727 and gives two back on a ten-year close over 5.00; two from C on a third advance-decline close over +800; and two each from C and D when the rollover read retires on a daily close over 29,304.
Path A holds at 8%. The count did not move; high-yield is 2.48 under 95; "gradually wind down" is not a signature. The five-condition parlay has none met, and the ten-year under 4.90 — ten basis points away — is the closest.
The structural filled at about 29,095 on its ninth arm, and is carried. Option 01 needed a post-10:30 print at or over 29,109 and the first 30-minute close back under it. Friday printed 29,161.03 before noon and the next bar closed under the line; the fill is scored at 29,095, the image's five-point resolution stated. The index closed 28,957.53: about +138 at an eighth. On the Sunday futures board the Nasdaq-100 future is 167 points over its Friday close, which after the Friday basis of about 160 puts cash near 29,125 — the carry is about 30 points under water on the board. A board print is not a cash print and the structural is scored at cash closes; it is carried under its 29,420 stop into the FOMC week, and is closed on a daily close over 29,304 with the count over 40, on a second consecutive close over 29,736, or on a Nasdaq-100 count over 50. Flat by 13:30 Wednesday regardless.
The gap-through rule refused a fill correctly, on its first test. Option 03 was a sell-stop under 28,855; the open was 28,847.82, seven under it, and the rule rewritten on Thursday made the open the trigger from the 10:30 bar. The low of the day printed in the opening bar; from 10:30 no close held under the open — the index was 335 points higher by noon. The stand-down rule it replaced would also have refused Friday, for the opposite reason. A clause fill off the opening bar would have been carried 110 points against by the close. No cost, no gain claimed; the rewrite did its job on a day the break did not come.
The S&P sell-stop never armed — by 2.85 points — and was then withdrawn. Option 05 needed the cash session to trade at or over 7,663 before a holding close under 7,637. The high was 7,660.15. The open, 7,637.18, was eighteen cents over the trigger, so the gap-through clause did not arm either. The index closed 13 under the trigger on a new October low. A gain that may not exist is not claimed — about +13 at a sixteenth — and the cost is stated: the qualifier that keeps a sell-stop from firing off a gap kept it from firing off a 23-point rally. At the close the S&P's count printed 50.20 and the rule written on 20 October withdrew both S&P structures; Option 04, the 50-day fade, was never reached (the high was 43 under its zone). No S&P short is issued in this plan.
The VIX doorway was keyed under the day a second session. Option 06 needed a post-10:30 print under 18.21; the low was 18.87. No fill, no cost, no gain claimed; the spot rose 2.2% and the doorway was not in the room. It is re-keyed up to Friday's floor below. VIX fills are not verifiable inside this pipeline.
The gold bracket refused both sides on one close. Option 07 needed gold over 4,056 with the ten-year at or under 5.00: the rate gate printed and gold did not (Friday's cash close about 4,008). Option 08 needed gold under 4,021 with the ten-year over 5.00: gold printed and the rate gate did not (5.00 is not over 5.00). Gold then printed 3,975.65 on the Sunday session — the first print under 4,000 since July — with no structure on. A bracket keyed to a single external gate will refuse both sides whenever that gate sits on its line, and it did; the design is stated at its cost rather than redesigned, because the thesis — the rate decides gold's direction — is intact and the sizing is a sixteenth. Both sides are re-keyed to the Sunday session below.
Friday's map: five of five. The Nasdaq-100 closed 28,957.53 inside 28,475–29,442 and inside the projected close band 28,669–29,249; the S&P 7,623.68 inside 7,603–7,723, though the projected close band 7,627–7,699 was missed by 3.3 points, and that is said; the VIX 19.45 inside 17.3–20.8; the ten-year 5.00 inside 4.84–5.08; Brent 116.72 inside 108–118, by 1.28. A clean sweep after Thursday's zero; the width stays at one times the wider of the last two true ranges, which is still Thursday's 967.
Calls that resolved, this session and this week. "The structural needs a 0.5% rally and a failure" — it got 1.1% and a failure, and filled. "A second consecutive ten-year close at or under 5.00 moves two from the shock path to the range path" printed, at the line. "The S&P's count is 0.40 from the line that withdraws both S&P structures" printed by 0.20. "The day is decided at 16:00 against 29,477 and 28,777" — neither printed; the close sat between them and the read stands. "The first read is the 10:30 bar" — it read about 28,990, over the open and under every line, and the rally came after it: right, and it decided nothing. Older calls that ran out this week: Wednesday's review trigger for the year-end band — a second consecutive close over 29,800 with the count over 50 — did not print; the index is 842 under the band's top. Wednesday's one-week claim — "if 29,736 holds Thursday and Friday and the 50-day prints, range and shock sit level at 30–32 into the FOMC" — lost its premise on Thursday's gap, so the claim never ran; it is not scored as a miss and it is not dropped. Tuesday's "range path modal by Friday at 30 if five pre-written closes print" — the five did not print, and the range path closed the week at 24: the conditional was not met and the path it described was not the one taken. The week's matrix ran 36/34/22, 34/30/28, 36/34/22, 34/34/24 — a round trip and one line lower on the shock path.

Win probability is the framework's estimate that the first target prints before the stop within one day to one week, conditional on the trigger firing; it is not a backtest. It is calibrated to the scenario weights, to how each structure type has behaved across the last thirty days of issues — sell-stops paid twice under their clauses on 17 October, were armed without filling three times, were stood down by the old gap line on Thursday and correctly refused by the new one on Friday; fades met their triggers three times this month for a scratch, an unclaimed gain and a claimed loss, were voided by rule three sessions running and were not reached on Thursday or Friday; the structural armed nine times and filled once, on Friday, at the line it was written on; the doorway long filled cleanly on 19 October, scratched, and was keyed under the day on Thursday and Friday; the gold bracket paid once (+112), was halved once by its own clause, and refused both sides on Friday — and to the distance from the last price. All eight sit under 50% and carry the muted pill: lower-odds, higher-payoff structures. No outright index long is issued, because nothing is signed; no S&P short is issued, because the broad tier exited. Three structures are unconventional: Option 04 is a rung re-anchoring of the filled structural; Option 06 is the first VIX short of the leg; Options 07 and 08 are the one-gate gold bracket.

| 02 | NDX — the gap #49 fill fade: sell a rejection close back under 29,412 after a post-10:30 print inside 29,412–29,594 — the board 287 under the zone, armed and not chased | ~30% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (rejection) |
| 03 | NDX — the sell-stop under Friday's low with the gap-through rule: sell a holding close under 28,826 after a 28,958 print — the board 299 over the trigger | ~32% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (sell-stop) |
| 04 | NDX — the structural add-back rung at Friday's high: sell a rejection close back under 29,109 after a post-10:30 print inside 29,109–29,161; an eighth, re-anchoring the blend to ≈29,115 (unconventional) | ~34% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (structural rung, eighth size) |
| 05 | VIX — the doorway re-entry over 19.58 after a post-10:30 print under 18.87, re-keyed up to Friday's floor; full size to 19.70, half to 20.00, none above | ~30% | VIX (CFD, spot-referenced) | Long (convexity, tapered) |
| 06 | VIX — the vol fade into the priced hold: sell a 30-minute close back under 18.87 after a post-10:30 print over 19.58 — the first VIX short of the leg; flat by 15:30, never overnight (unconventional) | ~28% | VIX (CFD, spot-referenced) | Short (vol fade, time-boxed) |
| 07 | XAUUSD — the gate-inversion long: buy a daily close back over 4,041 only with the ten-year at or under 5.00 the same day; sixteenth (unconventional) | ~26% | XAUUSD (CFD) | Long (conditional, sixteenth size) |
| 08 | XAUUSD — the short re-armed on the gate: sell a daily close under 3,976 only with the ten-year back over 5.00 the same day; sixteenth (unconventional) | ~24% | XAUUSD (CFD) | Short (conditional, sixteenth size) |
The base case is a session inside 28,474–29,441 with a close between 28,668 and 29,248 — the no-lean range, centred on Friday's close at one times the wider of the last two true ranges, which is still Thursday's 967 (Friday's was 335); the top of the range is the floor of gap #49. The S&P maps to 7,564–7,684 with a close of 7,588–7,660, Thursday's 120-point true range re-centred; the VIX to 17.6–21.3, the ten-year to 4.88–5.12 and the December Brent settle to 112–121 (January about five under). The reasoning runs in four steps. The board re-opens on the structural's fill line — about 29,125 in cash terms against 29,109 — so the first question is whether the launch gap's top holds a second retest or fills; the Sunday futures bid is the basis plus a hundred points, not a signal. The daily stochastic is under 20 a second session and the hourly RSI is 34.6: the oversold that produced Friday's morning run is intact, one frame lower than Wednesday's. Two thirds of the Nasdaq-100's members fell on Friday's flat index and the broad market sold with the S&P — the bid under the index is weaker than it was a session ago, and the S&P's count says the opposite. So the levels are 29,109–29,161 at the board (the rung) and 29,412–29,594 over it (the fade); 28,826 and 28,777 under it (the sell-stop and the rollover path's next line). The decision line is 29,304 at 16:00 — a daily close over it with the count over 40 retires the rollover read and closes the structural; a daily close under 28,777 with the count under 40 adds two. The first read is the 10:30 bar; Monday's data are inside the gate. The sequence of those moves is not called.
The base case is 28,564–29,594 inside 28,274–30,583, unchanged, and the week's question is whether the index closes over 29,304 before Wednesday 13:30 — the structural is closed on that print and carried into the decision otherwise — and whether the shock path's three remaining lines or its one give-back prints first: 120 on December through Friday's expiry, a spread over 3.50 (0.10 away on Thursday's print; Friday's posts Monday), a VIX close over 22.31 — or a ten-year close back over 5.00, which returns the two points given on Friday and which a hawkish hold with a December hike confirmed could deliver on Wednesday. The tests: 29,304 and 29,109 on the Nasdaq-100; 7,727 and 7,600.5 on the S&P (scored, not traded); the Nasdaq-100's count against 40 (2.57 away — under it with the members' share under 40 the July analog re-enters) and 50 (the licence and the filled structural lapse 7.43 away); the S&P's count against 45 (re-opens the tier) and a second close over 50; the VIX against 19 (the regime), 20.66 (the cover line) and 22.31; the NYSE oscillator against zero (the digestion watch) and +50; the monthly close on Friday against 30,408.50 (a down month after a record print) and 31,117 (the invalidation — not reachable); and the strait, where the reported strike window opens after 3 November and the week's binaries are a central bank, an Israeli election, three hyperscalers and a contract expiry. If the index holds under 29,304 through Wednesday and loses 28,777 with the count under 40, the rollover path is modal alone at 36 with the structural at its targets; if it closes over 29,304 on Monday or Tuesday, the read retires a second time in a week and the structural is scored on its only fill. The downside path inside the week runs 28,826, 28,777, 28,564, 28,440–28,274, 28,060 (the weekly band floor), 27,836 (the 200-day), 27,771 (the running quarterly EMA-5) and 27,753 (the 61.8%); for the S&P, 7,612, 7,606, 7,600.5, 7,560, 7,521 and 7,343.
October holds a higher high than June on a lower monthly momentum reading, seventeen sessions in, with the gap between the readings at 12.97 — unchanged on a flat close — and the running bar 1,451 points under September's close with five sessions left, a high of 31,361 and a low of 28,826. The shape the divergence describes — a record print, then a down month — is printing on both indices now: the S&P's month turned negative on Friday's new low. The one-month central range, 28,564–30,294, held a fifth session and is unchanged. The upside path still needs five conditions and none is met: a signed Hormuz date, two front-month Brent settles under 101 against a settle of 116.72 (and a January contract near 110.5), high-yield over 95 (2.48 away), the ten-year under 4.90 (ten basis points away — the closest), the count over 50 (7.43 away, and it did not move on Friday). The verdict is the monthly close on Friday: over 31,117 with the monthly RSI over 77.88 invalidates — 2,160 points and 12.97 RSI points away, not reachable; a close under 30,408.50 makes October a down month after a record print, and the bar is 1,451 under it. The December Brent expiry falls on the same day; from Monday 2 November the January settle is the front month and the 120 step moves about $6 further away by arithmetic, not by price.
Six months out the central case is a 27,000–31,600 range with downward drift while the monthly divergence resolves; the top of that range is unchanged for a twelfth issue, and the index sits in the range's lower-middle, 1,958 over its floor. Seven sessions of the two sides splitting — now the chips' way with the broad side down — is rotation inside a range, not a resolution of it; the range path gained weight on Friday from the rate line rather than from the tape, and it is said so. A ten-year that has stopped on 5.00 twice and a Fed that may be done after October lift the multiple's floor; a $116.72 settle, a four-year high, and a reported strike window cap it. A Hormuz reopening remains both the largest upside input and the largest sell-the-news for the war-bid assets, gold first — and gold printed under 4,000 on Sunday without one; a return to strikes remains the largest downside input, with a date range after 3 November. To year-end the conditional base case stays 27,500–29,800 for the Nasdaq-100 and 7,100–7,700 for the S&P. The Nasdaq-100 is inside its band by 842; the S&P is 76 under the top of its own and re-entered its band's upper fifth on Friday's new low. The band is a framework output conditional on the divergence holding, not a forecast; it is withdrawn if October closes over 31,117 with the monthly RSI over 77.88, and the review trigger written on Wednesday for a second close over its top did not print and is retired.

The live file is a public-quote fallback this session — the Investing.com sign-in lapsed — and two substitutions are stated wherever they are used: the index quotes are the December futures pages, converted to cash by the Friday basis (about 160 Nasdaq-100 points, about 36 S&P points) and never chained to the CFD series; the Brent quote is the January contract, and the six-dollar difference from Friday's settle is five dollars of roll. The Brent and gold charts carry the Sunday re-open bar and no Friday bar; the Friday settle and the Friday gold close are web-sourced and the charts' averages are read as stamped. The ten-year printed exactly on its line, and the rule was applied at its edge. The breadth vendor revised Thursday's equity put-call print from 0.86 to 0.69 — a fourth revision in four sessions — which would un-arm the countertrend leg if adopted; it is logged, not adopted. The Nasdaq and NYSE summation charts are weekly renders reconciled from the prior close plus the oscillator. The sentiment surveys are carried. No hourly gold record exists. Intraday sequences are read from 30-minute images that resolve about five Nasdaq-100 points, under one S&P point and two VIX cents; the structural's fill is scored at that resolution. Carried values are not presented as Friday prints.
What repaired: nothing on the Nasdaq-100 — it printed the top of the August gap and could not hold it, and the structural short is in the book for the first time, 138 points onside at the close. What did not: the broad market, which sold for the first time in seven sessions as the chips steadied; the S&P lost its 69-day at a new October low. The ten-year stopped on 5.00 and the rule written for the way down printed at the line, so the shock and rollover paths are level at 34; the S&P's count printed the tier exit, so no S&P short is issued. Brent settled at a four-year high and the weekend's six-dollar drop on the watchlist is five dollars of December-to-January roll — December was a dollar lower, not six. The tactical lines are 29,109–29,161, 29,412–29,594 and 28,826 for the Nasdaq-100, 19.58 and 18.87 for the VIX, all flat by 15:30; the structural and its rung carry to Wednesday 13:30. The next decision points are the 10:30 bar, the 16:00 close against 29,304 and 28,777, Monday's spread print against 3.50, and the FOMC.
