The Nasdaq-100 rose 1.09% to 29,273.40 on Monday, 20 points under its retirement line; the S&P 500 rose 0.70% to 7,676.77 and the VIX closed 18.39. The index opened 94 points over Friday's close, printed its low in the opening bar and was bought through the top of the August launch gap [29,109 — the line the structural short was filled on] to 29,404.44 on the 10:30 bar, where the hourly 50-average, the hourly band top, the floor of Thursday's gap and the structural's stop sit inside sixteen points; it closed 20 under the daily EMA-5 [the retirement line — a close over it retires the rollover read]. The semiconductor index rose 2.82% on Anthropic's prospectus; advancers led 1.36-to-1; the ten-year closed 4.99%, a third session at or under 5.00; December Brent settled $115.81, down 0.8%, as Qatari mediators and Saudi, Turkish and Pakistani officials met Iran's leadership in Tehran and agreed to keep talking, while CNN reported US forces could begin major operations within 96 hours of an order. At 06:45 Singapore Tuesday (18:45 New York Monday, the post-close board) the Nasdaq-100 CFD was 29,337.7 — 43 over the retirement line — the S&P CFD 7,684.4, the VIX future 19.18, gold 4,014.41 and the January Brent quote 110.23.

The rally stopped on the one line the framework had its stop over, and the read held by twenty. The Nasdaq-100 opened at 29,051.58, 94 points over Friday's close and 110 under Friday's high — no daily gap — printed 29,011.91 in the opening bar, and was bought: by 10:00 it had run through the top of the 4 August launch gap at 29,109 and the rung zone at 29,109–29,161, and the 10:30 bar printed the day's high at 29,404.44. That is the hourly 50-average, 29,404.62, to eighteen cents; the hourly band top at 29,411.82 and the floor of Thursday's gap at 29,411.76 sit seven points over it, and the structural's stop at 29,420 sixteen. Every bar after 10:30 was lower. The close, 29,273.40, up 1.09%, is 20 under the fresh daily EMA-5 at 29,294 — the retirement line as read, re-keyed from 29,304 — and 31 under the written line, so the rollover read stands and its instrument is carried: the structural, filled at about 29,095 on Friday, is about 178 points against after being 138 onside at Friday's close. The stop survived by sixteen points on a 447-point day; that is luck in the level's favour, and it is said so rather than claimed as design. The close is 15 over the 30-minute 50-average, 164 over the gap top the index lost on Thursday, inside three overhead shelves at once (the 1 September, 10 September and 17 September gaps, whose top at 29,304 is the written retirement line to the point), 541 under the 50-day, and a tenth consecutive close under 30,583. The daily stochastic deepened under 20 on an up day.
The S&P printed through its 50-day and could not close over it. The S&P 500 opened on its low at 7,639.70 — the June high to thirty cents — re-took the 69-day at 7,668.54, printed 7,702.13, which is 4.67 through the 50-day at 7,697.46 and 81 cents under the floor of Thursday's gap, and closed 7,676.77, up 0.70%: 21 under the 50-day, 1.58 under the daily EMA-5, 50 under the 20-day at 7,727 that returns two points to the range path, inside the 21 September band again. The month is back positive by ten points. Technology rose 1.69%, industrials 1.42%, discretionary 1.03%; communication services fell 1.57% on Meta's $95 billion stock raise, staples 0.34%; the semiconductor index rose 2.82% to 11,083, still down 12.2% on the month; advancers led 1.36-to-1 and the equal-weight index rose 0.35%, lagging. The Nasdaq logged 349 new lows against 82 new highs. Eight sessions, eight splits — this one the chips' way up, with the broad market up less.
The VIX turned its regime off on one close, and the futures market rebuilt the contango. The spot opened 19.66, printed 19.84 in the opening bar and was sold from it: under Friday's low by the 10:30 bar, 17.79 at eleven — under the 200-day at 18.20 and eight cents over the top of Thursday's spike gap — and a close at 18.39, down 5.45%, on its own daily EMA-5 to the cent. Two closes over 19 turned the leg-3 regime on; one under it turns it off, by the rule written on 19 October, so a filled tactical short now covers two thirds on a 30-minute close over 19 rather than 20.66. The close is over 17.45 by 0.94, so the shock path's two volatility points stand. The front future on the post-close board is 19.18, 79 cents over the spot — the contango that was flat on Sunday is back, pricing a drift toward 19 into the decision. The term structure did not invert intraday for the first time in seven sessions; the VIX of the VIX fell 7.5% through its 200-day and closed just over it.
The ten-year stopped at or under 5.00 a third day, and the front end went the other way. The ten-year closed 4.99% on the chart and 4.984% on the wire, down a basis point; the mirror line written on Friday — a close back over 5.00 returns two points to the shock path — did not print, the fast rate input stays lapsed and the gold short's gate stays shut. The two-year rose six basis points on the chart (three on the wire) to 4.75% into the Fed meeting while the thirty-year fell two: a flattening that reads as December's hike being priced and the long end buying the consequence. The $69 billion two-year auction tailed. The dollar closed 102.02, over both its fast averages for the first time in eight sessions. The Dallas Fed survey printed 13.4 against 7.0 expected; one prediction market prices a hold on Wednesday above 90%; the futures market prices a December hike above 70%.
Breadth went the range path's way on every series but one — and none of them is a written line. The Nasdaq-100's count rose 2.97 to 45.54, three members turning their point-and-figure columns to a buy — the first net buys since 21 October, back over 45, and 4.46 from the 50 line that lapses the structural-short licence and closes the structural by the gate rather than by price. Its advance-decline percent printed +52 at the high and +28.71 at the close, 1.29 under the +30 line that starts the members' repair; its oscillator closed back over zero (leg 1 of the Nasdaq repair on); its summation rose (one of three). The S&P's count printed 51.00, a second consecutive close over 50 — the line written a week ago that makes the broad-tier exit the base case through the FOMC, which it now is. 60.8% of S&P members closed over their 50-day, the thrust-confirm print again. The NYSE Composite re-took its 50-day by six points; its oscillator rose to +20.80; its summation rose an eighth time to −599.72, the first close over −600 of the leg; the advance-decline line printed +1,097 intraday — the third +800 close that moves two points from the rollover path to the range path — and closed +146. The transports closed over 20,000 a third session. The one series that refused: the Nasdaq-100's new highs-new lows printed −2.97 — three members made 52-week lows on a day the index rose 316 points and none made highs. The put-call series printed 0.71 with no vendor revision, the first clean day-to-day read in five sessions.
Oil and the strait. December Brent settled $115.81, down 91 cents, a thirteenth settlement over 101 and $4.19 from the 120 line that is R14's fourth step — equity to 10% — and two points to the shock path, with four December settlements left before Friday's expiry; the settle came back inside its daily band after Friday's 116.72 settled $2.01 over the band's top. The shock path's two oil points were given back on consecutive settles under 109.45 and are not re-booked by settles over it. The diplomatic calendar filled on Monday: Qatari mediators arrived in Tehran on Sunday, and on Monday Saudi Arabia's defence minister, Pakistan's army chief and Turkey's intelligence chief met Iran's president, foreign minister and security council secretary and agreed to keep talking — the first high-level talks with those three since the war widened to Saudi Arabia and Yemen. Iran said the nuclear file stays off the table until the US blockade is lifted and oil sanctions removed, and its foreign minister said Hormuz "will not return to its prewar arrangements". The military calendar did not empty: CNN, citing two US officials, reported that forces already in theatre could begin major operations within 96 hours of an order, with most officials expecting any order after the 3 November midterms; the President said on Sunday there would be no strike that day and that he was still deciding between an agreement and more aggressive action. The Houthis claimed strikes on the East-West pipeline's pumping stations and Riyadh's airport again, unconfirmed; Egypt's parliament approved air-defence assistance to Saudi Arabia; Reuters reported Iranian plans to attack Gulf undersea cables if strikes resume; the Washington Institute counted October the worst month on record for attacks on commercial shipping in and around the strait; the Strategic Petroleum Reserve fell to 282.6 million barrels, the lowest since 1982. Nothing was signed; talks are not a signature; outright index longs stay struck. The watchlist's Brent quote is the January contract at 110.23, about $5.60 under December — a roll, not a settle, as last Friday's issue explained.
Rates and the Fed. Escalation-3 stays withdrawn a twelfth session, 26 basis points from the 5.25 line that re-books it; the 4.94 first-withdrawal line is five basis points under the close. The Fed meets Tuesday and Wednesday and decides at 14:00 New York on Wednesday; by the rule written for this plan, nothing new is initiated after 13:00 and everything in the book — the structural included — is flat by 13:30. Durable goods print at 08:30 Tuesday before the gate; consumer confidence, new home sales and the Richmond Fed at 10:00 inside it; the five-year auction at 13:00. Alphabet, Microsoft and Amazon report this week; PCE and Intel on Thursday; Exxon, the October monthly close and the December Brent expiry on Friday; Israel votes on Tuesday.
Credit. The high-yield ETF closed 92.66 on a weekly render, 14 cents higher on the day, a thirty-third close under 95. The spread series posted Friday's print on Monday at 3.38, two basis points narrower than the leg's widest 3.40 — it covered the day the broad market sold, and it narrowed — 12 basis points from the 3.50 line that adds two to the shock path; Monday's print posts Tuesday. The ladders stay shut by 2.34. Brazil's five-year credit default swap rose 26% to 152 basis points as its stock market fell 13.9% and its currency 8% on the runoff result; the framework has no rule for an emerging-market credit event and logs it as a contagion watch item beside the spread line.
The monthly divergence. October's running bar holds a higher high than June on a monthly RSI of 66.26 against 77.88 — the gap narrowed to 11.62 from 12.97 on Monday's rally, which is what a 316-point up day does to a monthly reading and is said as such — and the bar sits 1,135 points under September's close, down 3.73% on the month with four sessions left, back over its monthly EMA-5 by 34 after two sessions under. The S&P's month turned positive again. The one-month central range, 28,564–30,294, held a sixth session, the close 709 over its floor. The year-end band, 27,500–29,800, has the Nasdaq-100 inside it by 527 — the review trigger for the band, a second consecutive close over 29,800 with the count over 50, is 527 points and 4.46 count points away, the closest it has been on both halves since 21 October. The verdict is the monthly close on Friday.
Nothing printed. Every weight line in Friday's plan is written on a close, and Monday's closes sat between all of them: 29,273.40 under the retirement line at 29,294 and 29,304 (by 20 and 31 — the read stands); 7,676.77 under 7,727 (by 50 — the high never reached it); 18.39 under 19 (the regime switch carries no weight) and over 17.45 (by 0.94 — and the settle is over 109.45 besides); 4.99 at or under 5.00 a third day (the mirror did not print); 115.81 under 120 (by 4.19); 3.38 under 3.50 (by 0.12, and narrower); the advance-decline line +146, not +800 (pierced at +1,097); the count 45.54, between 40 and 50. Printed without weight: the leg-3 regime off; the S&P's count over 50 a second day — the broad-tier exit confirmed as the base case; the Nasdaq-100's count back over 45; its oscillator over zero; the Composite over its 50-day; the transports over 20,000 a third time; the thrust-confirm print on the S&P's share. The matrix is D 34 / C 34 / B 24 / A 8 for a second session.
Path D holds at 34% and shares the modal seat. None of its three inputs moved a written line: the ten-year stopped at or under 5.00 again, Brent settled $4.19 from the step with four prints left to reach it, the spread narrowed. What D keeps: a thirteenth settle over 101 at a near-five-month high; a 96-hour readiness and a reported post-midterm window; a foreign minister saying the strait will not go back; a reserve at a 1982 low; the two-year rising into the decision. What D lost on the day: the VIX regime, the term-structure inversion and the VVIX spike — switches, not weights. D takes two on a ten-year close back over 5.00, two on a 120 December settle through Friday, two on a spread over 3.50, two on a VIX daily close over 22.31, four on a ten-year close over 5.25 and two on a Composite close under 23,442; it gives two to the range path on a daily S&P close over 7,727 and two on a VIX daily close under 17.45 with the settle under 109.45.
Path C holds at 34%, with its instrument carried against. The read held by twenty points on the leg's strongest up day: the close is under the retirement line, the high stopped at the hourly 50-average and the gap floor to the point, the daily stochastic is under 20 a third session on an up day, the month is down 3.7% on a monthly reading 11.62 under June's, and three members made new lows on a day the index rose 1.1%. Against it: the structural is 178 points against; the count moved 2.97 toward the line that lapses its licence; the broad market's count printed its exit a second day; the transports extended. C retires on a daily close over 29,294 with the count over 40 — four points away, and the structural closed on the print; it takes two from the range path on a daily close under 28,777 with the count under 40, both halves further away than they were; it gives two on the third advance-decline close over +800.
Path B holds at 24% — on the day its evidence was the strongest of the leg. Advancers 1.36-to-1, the S&P's count over 50 twice, 60.8% of its members over their 50-day, the Composite over its 50-day, the transports over 20,000, the Nasdaq-100's count up three and its oscillator over zero. None of it is a written line, and the two lines B needs — the S&P's 20-day on a close, the third +800 close — were approached or pierced and did not print. The framework does not move weight on evidence it did not write a line for, and it is said so: the range path's weight is lower than its tape on Monday. B takes two from D on a daily S&P close over 7,727; two from C on a third +800 close; and two each from C and D when the rollover read retires on a daily close over 29,294.
Path A holds at 8%. The count is 4.46 from its gate — the closest of its five conditions, and the only one that moved toward it on Monday; high-yield is 2.34 under 95; "keep talking" is not a signature.
The structural's stop held by sixteen points, and the carry is 178 against. Option 01, filled at about 29,095 on Friday, was 138 onside at Friday's close and is about 178 points against at Monday's — the first session it has been carried against. The high, 29,404.44, printed the hourly 50-average to eighteen cents and stopped sixteen points under the 29,420 stop, which was placed over the gap floor because the gap floor is where a failed retest should stop; it did, and the stop survived because of where the level was, not because the stop was wise. The retirement line did not print on the close by twenty points. The stop is not moved; the structure is carried one more session and closed by the clock at 13:30 Wednesday if not by its lines.
The gap fade was right about the level and wrong about the number. Option 02 needed a post-10:30 print inside 29,412–29,594 and a rejection close back under 29,412. The high was 29,404.44 — 7.32 under the zone's floor. The rejection happened, at the hourly 50-average, the hourly band top and the gap floor inside eight points, and the ticket was seven points too high to catch it. A fill at about 29,400 on the 11:00 bar's close and a carry to the bell would have been about +127 at a quarter; a gain that may not exist is not claimed. The zone's floor is re-keyed to Monday's high. Owned.
The vol fade would have paid, and its own gate refused it. Option 06 needed a post-10:30 print over 19.58 and a 30-minute close back under 18.87. The print over 19.58 was the open at 19.66 and the opening bar's high at 19.84 — before the gate; after 10:30 the spot was never over 19.58, so the qualifier was never met and the close under 18.87 that printed by about 10:30 was not a fill. The first target at 18.19 printed at eleven; the second at 17.71 was missed by eight cents; a fill at about 18.85 carried to the close would have been about +0.46 at a quarter. Not claimed — the rule bound. This is the second time in two issues that a 10:30 gate has refused a structure on a day the opening bar made the trade; on 23 October the fix for the sell-stops was the gap-through clause, and from this issue the same clause covers the vol fade: a cash open over the qualifier line counts as the print. The gate stays — nothing is read off the opening bar — and the clause is the fix.
The rung's zone was gapped through before the gate. Option 04 needed a post-10:30 print inside 29,109–29,161 and a rejection close under 29,109; the open-as-print clause required an open inside the zone. The open was 29,051.58, 58 under the zone, so the clause did not fire; the 9:30 bar then ran from 29,012 through the whole zone to about 29,330, and from the 10:30 bar on the index never came back to it. No fill, no cost, no gain claimed. A 52-point zone 58 points over the open on a day the opening bar ran 320 points was never going to see its print after the gate; the rung is re-keyed up to the retirement line, where the next rejection matters.
The rest did not trigger. Option 03's trigger at 28,826 was 186 under the day's low. Option 05, the doorway, got its pullback print (17.79) and never its reclaim of 19.58 — keyed over the day this time, after two sessions keyed under it. Options 07 and 08, the gold bracket, refused a third close: the rate gate printed for the long (4.99) and gold missed the fresh band floor by 4.67; the short's gold half missed the Sunday low by 2.59 and its rate half did not print. The long is re-keyed to the fresh floor for a fourth and last issue.
Monday's map: five of five on the ranges, three of five on the close bands. The Nasdaq-100 closed 29,273.40 inside 28,474–29,441 and 25 points over the projected close band's top at 29,248; the S&P 7,676.77 inside 7,564–7,684 and 17 over its close band's top at 7,660; the VIX 18.39 inside 17.6–21.3; the ten-year 4.99 inside 4.88–5.12; Brent 115.81 inside 112–121. A close-band miss is not a range miss and does not widen the range; Thursday's 967-point true range rolls out of the window and Monday's 447 is the width for Tuesday.
Calls that resolved. "The first question is whether the launch gap's top holds a second retest or fills" — it filled through inside the opening bar, by 295 points: a miss on the rung's premise. "The day is decided at 16:00 against 29,304 and 28,777" — neither printed; the close sat 31 under the first and the read held. "The first read is the 10:30 bar" — it read the day's high, 29,404, sixteen under the stop, and decided that the day was a retest of the stop that did not print. "Monday's spread print against 3.50" — it narrowed to 3.38. "A second consecutive close over 50 would make the exit the base case through the FOMC" — printed at 51.00. Friday's "the structural needs a 0.5% rally and a failure" paid on Friday and was paid back on Monday; the structure is scored at the close it is carried to, not at the close it was written on.

Win probability is the framework's estimate that the first target prints before the stop within one day to one week, conditional on the trigger firing; it is not a backtest. It is calibrated to the scenario weights, to how each structure type has behaved across the last thirty days of issues — sell-stops paid twice under their clauses on 17 October, were armed without filling four times, were stood down by the old gap line on 22 October and correctly refused by the new one on Friday, and were not reached on Monday; fades met their triggers three times this month for a scratch, an unclaimed gain and a claimed loss, were voided by rule three sessions running, were not reached on Thursday or Friday and missed Monday's rejection by seven points; the structural armed nine times, filled once, was 138 onside after one session and 178 against after two with its stop held by sixteen; the doorway long filled cleanly on 19 October, was keyed under the day twice and over it once; the vol fade was refused by its own gate on the one day it was issued and would have paid; the gold bracket paid once (+112), was halved once by its own clause, and has refused three closes in a row — and to the distance from the last price. All eight sit under 50% and carry the muted pill: lower-odds, higher-payoff structures. No outright index long is issued, because nothing is signed; no S&P short is issued, because the broad tier exited. Three structures are unconventional: Option 04 is a rung re-anchoring of the carried structural at the line the read is written on; Option 06 is the vol fade with the open-as-print clause; Options 07 and 08 are the one-gate gold bracket.
| # | Structure | Win prob. | Instrument | Side |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 01 | NDX — the structural, filled ≈29,095 at an eighth, carried ≈178 against with its stop held by sixteen: one more session under the same stop, flat by 13:30 Wednesday | ~30% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (structural, carried, eighth size) |
| 02 | NDX — the gap #49 fill fade re-keyed to Monday's high: sell a rejection close back under 29,405 after a post-10:30 print inside 29,405–29,594 (or an open inside) — the board 67 under the zone | ~32% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (rejection; replaces the structural above its stop) |
| 03 | NDX — the sell-stop under Monday's low with the gap-through rule: sell a holding close under 29,012 after a 29,273 print — the board 326 over the trigger | ~30% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (sell-stop) |
| 04 | NDX — the structural's add-back rung moved up to the retirement line: sell a rejection close back under 29,294 after a post-10:30 print inside 29,294–29,330 (or an open inside); an eighth, re-anchoring the blend to ≈29,195 (unconventional) | ~34% | NDX (USTECH CFD) | Short (structural rung, eighth size) |
| 05 | VIX — the doorway re-entry over 18.86 after a post-10:30 print under 18.20, re-keyed down to the 200-day; full size to 19.03, half to 19.25, none above | ~28% | VIX (CFD, spot-referenced) | Long (convexity, tapered) |
| 06 | VIX — the vol fade, second issue, with the open-as-print clause: sell a 30-minute close back under 18.20 after a post-10:30 print over 18.86 or a cash open over it; flat by 15:30, never overnight (unconventional) | ~30% | VIX (CFD, spot-referenced) | Short (vol fade, time-boxed) |
| 07 | XAUUSD — the gate-inversion long, fourth and last issue: buy a daily close back over 4,021 only with the ten-year at or under 5.00 the same day; sixteenth (unconventional) | ~28% | XAUUSD (CFD) | Long (conditional, sixteenth size) |
| 08 | XAUUSD — the short re-armed on the gate: sell a daily close under 3,976 only with the ten-year back over 5.00 the same day; sixteenth (unconventional) | ~22% | XAUUSD (CFD) | Short (conditional, sixteenth size) |
The base case is a session inside 29,050–29,497 with a close between 29,139 and 29,407 — the no-lean range, centred on Monday's close at one times the wider of the last two true ranges, which is Monday's 447 now that Thursday's 967 has rolled out of the window; the top of the range sits inside gap #49 and over the stop. The S&P maps to 7,638–7,716 with a close of 7,653–7,700, Monday's 78-point true range re-centred; the VIX to 16.5–20.2, the ten-year to 4.87–5.11 and the December Brent settle to 111–121. The reasoning runs in four steps. The index closed twenty under the line that retires the read and the board sits 43 over it, so Tuesday's first question is whether 29,294 prints on a close, not whether it prints at all — it will print at the open. The rally stopped on a four-line cluster inside sixteen points, and a second test of a cluster that held once usually goes through or fails inside a session — the stop and the fade are keyed to the same eight points. The daily stochastics are under 20 on both indices after an up day, so the oversold that produced Monday's run is intact. And the broad market's count has exited while the Nasdaq-100's moved three points toward its own exit — the breadth is not on the structural's side. So the levels are 29,294–29,330 at the board (the rung) and 29,405–29,594 over it (the fade); 29,012 and 28,777 under it (the sell-stop and the rollover path's next line). The decision line is 29,294 at 16:00. The first read is the 10:30 bar — durable goods print before it, the three 10:00 releases inside it. The sequence of those moves is not called.
The base case is 28,777–29,594 inside 28,564–30,583 — the inner range's top raised to the gap #49 top and its floor to the launch gap's floor — and the week's question is whether 29,294 prints on a close before 13:30 Wednesday, in which case the structural is closed on its only fill at a loss and the matrix moves four, or whether the index holds under it into the decision and the structural is closed by the clock at whatever the 13:30 print is. The tests: 29,294, 29,420 and 29,594 on the Nasdaq-100; 7,727 and 7,697 on the S&P, scored not traded; the Nasdaq-100's count against 50 (4.46 away — the licence and the structural lapse) and the S&P's against 45 (re-opens the review); the ten-year against 5.00 the other way (a hawkish hold prints the mirror) and 4.94; the VIX against 19 (the regime) and 22.31; the spread against 3.50 (Monday's print posts Tuesday); the December settle against 120 through Friday's expiry; the NYSE oscillator against +50 and the third +800 close, which was pierced on Monday; the monthly close on Friday against 30,408.50, a down month after a record print, and against 31,117, which is not reachable. If the index holds under 29,294 through Wednesday and loses 28,777 with the count under 40, the rollover path is modal alone at 36; if it closes over 29,294 on Tuesday or Wednesday morning, the read retires a second time in a week and the structural is scored at a loss. The downside path inside the week runs 29,012, 28,855, 28,777, 28,721, 28,564, 28,440–28,274, 28,038, 27,877, 27,855 and 27,753; for the S&P, 7,657, 7,640, 7,612, 7,605, 7,600.5, 7,560, 7,521 and 7,367.
October holds a higher high than June on a lower monthly momentum reading, eighteen sessions in, with the gap between the readings at 11.62 — narrowed from 12.97 on Monday's rally, which is what a 316-point day does to the monthly reading and is said as such — and the running bar 1,135 points under September's close with four sessions left, back over its monthly EMA-5 by 34 after two sessions under. The one-month central range, 28,564–30,294, held a sixth session, the close 709 over its floor. The upside path still needs five conditions and none is met, though the count moved toward one: a signed Hormuz date, two front-month Brent settles under 101 against a settle of 115.81, high-yield over 95 (2.34 away), the ten-year under 4.90 (nine basis points away), the count over 50 (4.46 away — now the closest of the five). The verdict is the monthly close on Friday: over 31,117 with the monthly RSI over 77.88 invalidates — 1,844 points and 11.62 RSI points away, not reachable; a close under 30,408.50 makes October a down month after a record print, and the bar is 1,135 under it. From Monday 2 November the January Brent settle is the front month and the 120 step moves about $5.60 further away by arithmetic, not by price.
Six months out the central case is a 27,000–31,600 range with downward drift while the monthly divergence resolves; the top of that range is unchanged for a thirteenth issue, and the index sits in the range's middle after Monday, 2,273 over its floor. Eight sessions of the two sides splitting — now the chips' way up with the broad market up less — is rotation inside a range, not a resolution of it; the range path's evidence was the strongest of the leg on Monday and its weight did not move, because no line printed, and it is said so. A ten-year that has stopped at or under 5.00 three days running and a Fed that may be done after this week lift the multiple's floor; a $115.81 settle four sessions from expiry, a 96-hour readiness and a post-midterm window cap it. A Hormuz reopening remains both the largest upside input and the largest sell-the-news for the war-bid assets, gold first; a return to strikes remains the largest downside input, with four delegations in Tehran on Monday trying to prevent it. The AI capex cycle moved from cash flow to the capital markets in public on Monday — Meta's $95 billion of stock, SpaceX's $40 billion of chip debt, Anthropic's $80.7 billion of half-year losses in a prospectus — and the tape bought it for a day; the framework scores the index and logs the financing. To year-end the conditional base case stays 27,500–29,800 for the Nasdaq-100 and 7,100–7,700 for the S&P. The Nasdaq-100 is inside its band by 527; the S&P is 23 under the top of its own. The band is a framework output conditional on the divergence holding, not a forecast; it is withdrawn if October closes over 31,117 with the monthly RSI over 77.88, and the review trigger for it — a second consecutive close over 29,800 with the count over 50 — is 527 points and 4.46 count points away, the closest on both halves since 21 October.
Monday's index closes, the sector table, the breadth count, the Treasury closes, the Brent and WTI settlements, gold, the dollar, the Fed odds, the Dallas and Chicago Fed prints, the Brazil market data and the after-close earnings are from the Cappnotes closing look; the session's narrative, the Anthropic prospectus, the Meta, SpaceX and EQT items, the Treasury yields at 15:10 and the CNN 96-hour report from the TheStreet live blog; the Tehran talks, the attendees, Iran's conditions, the Houthi claims, Egypt's assistance, the undersea-cable report and the Hormuz flow note from Ynet; the President's Sunday statements, the Qatari mediation and Araghchi's remarks from Profile News; the oil-market drivers, the Washington Institute's shipping-attack count and the SPR level from the Reuters wrap and Brisk Markets. Every chart value is from Core_Charts_20261027.pdf, Gen 3, 55 of 55 core charts resolved by manifest label, captured 06:16 Singapore Tuesday; live prices from the 06:45 capture, the Monday post-close board. The live file's series names reverted to the US Tech 100 and US 500 CFD pages this session after Sunday's futures substitution — the two runs are not chained, and every tracker row names the series it carries. The Brent and gold charts carry Monday's session at 18:18 New York and the settlements are web-sourced. The spread series shows Friday's print; Monday's posts Tuesday. The breadth vendor made no revision to the put-call series this session, the first clean day-to-day read in five. The Nasdaq and NYSE summation charts are weekly renders that reconcile to the hundredth on a Monday. The sentiment surveys are carried. No hourly gold record exists. Intraday sequences are read from 30-minute images that resolve about five Nasdaq-100 points, under one S&P point and two VIX cents; the structural's carry is scored at the cash close. Carried values are not presented as Monday prints.
What repaired: the index, by 316 points — through the launch gap's top and back inside the September shelves, with the Nasdaq-100's count up three, its oscillator over zero and the broad market's count over 50 a second day. What did not: the read. The rally stopped on the hourly 50-average and the gap floor to the point, sixteen under the structural's stop and twenty under the retirement line, so no weight line printed and the matrix is unchanged at 34 / 34 / 24 / 8 — the range path's tape stronger than its weight, and said so. The VIX turned leg 3 off; the ten-year stopped at or under 5.00 a third day; Brent settled $4.19 from the step with four prints left. The structural is carried 178 against for one more session. The tactical lines are 29,294–29,330, 29,405–29,594 and 29,012 for the Nasdaq-100, 18.86 and 18.20 for the VIX, all flat by 15:30; everything is flat by 13:30 Wednesday. The next decision points are the 10:30 bar, the 16:00 close against 29,294, Tuesday's spread print against 3.50, and the Fed.
