Alphabet fell 12.6% on Thursday and the Nasdaq-100 fell 1.38% to 29,402.51; the S&P 500 fell 0.30% to 7,720.39 and the VIX closed 17.20. Third-quarter growth printed 3.4% and September's PCE inflation 3.6%, yet the ten-year fell eight basis points to 4.94% — back under 5% after one close over — and the ECB held with Lagarde saying a hike was debated. December Brent settled $114.88, a sixteenth settle over $101, after Vice President Vance wrote to Tehran to revive talks and Iran's Guards said three tankers hit mines south of Hormuz; nothing was signed. After the bell Amazon fell about 5–7% on a soft holiday guide and Intel about 18% on a weak fourth-quarter outlook; the S&P 500 was indicated near 7,662 (−0.75%) after hours, while the 06:42 Singapore board carried only cash closes — gold 4,021.89, January Brent 111.57.

Alphabet's sale became a gap, and the gap stopped at its own floor. The Nasdaq-100 opened 29,421.18 — 197 points under Wednesday's low, which logs a new daily gap, #54, from 29,517.80 to 29,618.42 — and printed 29,257.05 in the opening hour as Alphabet traded toward a 12.6% loss, the largest one-day fall in its history. The bounce that followed ran to 29,517.80, Thursday's high, which is the gap's floor to the point; the index then faded to about 29,300 by mid-afternoon and lifted on the last bar to close 29,402.51, down 1.38%. Marvell fell 13.2% on reported talks to buy Lumentum; Fortinet and ServiceNow each fell more than 20%; the semiconductor index fell 1.4%, ending four days of gains. Microsoft, the one hyperscaler bought on Wednesday night for spending less than expected, closed flat.
The re-instatement line printed its price half and not its count half — exactly as Thursday's issue said it would. The rollover read returns on a daily close under the daily EMA-5 with the Nasdaq-100's bullish-percent count under 50. The close was 96 under the fresh average at 29,498 (and 144 under the 29,546 written on Wednesday's set), so the price half printed; the count closed 56.44, down 1.98 on two point-and-figure sell signals and still 6.44 over 50, so the count half did not, and the read stays retired. It is logged, not weighted. The count moved the other way from its binary: 3.56 under 60 now, against 1.58 on Wednesday.
The S&P gave its 20-day back, and the range path's two points went with it. The S&P 500 opened 7,699.61, under Wednesday's low, and filled that gap inside the first hour; it printed 7,732.21 and closed 7,720.39, down 0.30% — 16.65 under the 20-day at 7,737.04 (7,734 as written). Wednesday's close over that line had moved two points from the shock path to the range path; the written rule returns them on a close back under it, and they returned. The index held its 50-day at 7,698 by 22 points.
The ten-year reversed its mirror in one session, on data that argued the other way. Third-quarter GDP printed 3.4% against about 3.2% expected, and September's PCE price index rose 0.5% on the month and 3.6% on the year, from 3.4% — and the futures market moved toward a December hike, near 81% intraday. The ten-year closed 4.94% on the chart, down eight basis points, and the two-year fell ten to 4.60%: the curve bull-steepened at the front on hot inflation. The written mirror is symmetric — a close back at or under 5.00 returns the two points that Wednesday's close over it took from the range path — and it returned them. The close sits at the 4.94 first-withdrawal line, not under it; the post-close board quotes 4.923, under it, and the chart governs. The ECB held its deposit rate at 2.50%, and Lagarde said a hike had been debated.
The broad market finished the repair it started a week ago. NYSE advancers led decliners by 1,069 at the close, with the NYSE oscillator at +43.35, the high of the leg: that is the third advance-decline close over +800 the range path's line was written on, and it moves two points from the rollover path to the range path. The NYSE Composite rose 1.05% and closed on its high, the Russell 2000 rose 1.01%, the banks 1.13%, the transports 0.96%; Ford rose 12.4% and Eli Lilly 6.6%. Six in ten Nasdaq-100 members rose on the day the index fell 1.4%, and the Nasdaq-100 to S&P ratio fell 1.08%. One day's tape held both halves of the leg's story at once: the builders repriced, everything else bought.
Oil and the strait. December Brent settled $114.88, down 44 cents, a sixteenth settlement over 101 and $5.12 from the 120 line that is R14's fourth step and two points to the shock path; December's final settlement is Friday, and from Monday the January contract (111.57 on the board) is the front month — a roll, not a settle. Both sides of the protocol moved again. Toward a deal: the Journal reported that Vice President Vance wrote to Mohsen Rezaei to revive talks, and Iran's foreign minister said Tehran still gives diplomacy a chance and could complete its own seven-day plan inside a week. Away from it: a senior Iranian official called Qatar's new draft unacceptable, Iran's Guards said three tankers hit sea mines on an unauthorised route south of the strait, the Houthis claimed strikes on Ras Tanura, Rabigh and Abqaiq that Riyadh did not confirm, the region's senior US commander briefed the President on military options, and Exxon and Chevron cancelled executive travel to next week's oil show in Abu Dhabi. Fear of a strike after Tuesday's midterms kept the floor under the price. Nothing was signed; outright index longs stay struck.
Rates and the Fed. Escalation-3 stays withdrawn a fifteenth session, 31 basis points under the 5.25 line that re-books it. The data were hot and the bond market rallied anyway: the reading the framework records is that the long end treats a December hike as a growth limiter, which is why the mirror reversed rather than why it should stay reversed. A close back over 5.00 returns the two points; the gold bracket keys to the same line.
Credit. The high-yield ETF closed 93.19, two cents lower on a weekly render, a thirty-sixth close under 95 and 1.81 from the line that, with the count over 50, gives the bull path its first two points. The spread series posted Wednesday's print at 3.14, four basis points narrower — a fourth consecutive narrowing and 0.36 under the 3.50 line that adds two to the shock path. A hyperscaler sale and a hot PCE did not widen credit.
The monthly divergence and the year-end band. October's running bar holds a higher high than June on a monthly RSI of 66.84 against 77.88 — the gap widened to 11.04 from 9.16 on Thursday's fall — and sits 1,006 points under September's close with one session left, 121 over its monthly EMA-5. A close under 30,408.50 makes October a down month after a record print, and nothing short of a 3.4% rally on Friday prevents it. The year-end band, 27,500–29,800, has the Nasdaq-100 back inside it by 398: the review trigger needed a second consecutive close over 29,800 with the count over 50, and Thursday closed 398 under it, so the first close lapses and the band stands as written.
Three written lines printed on Thursday's close. The ten-year back at or under 5.00 moved two points from the shock path to the range path. The S&P back under its 20-day moved two from the range path to the shock path. The NYSE's third +800 advance-decline close moved two from the rollover path to the range path. The first two cancel; the third does not. The matrix is D 36 / C 28 / B 28 / A 8, from 36 / 30 / 26 / 8. One line printed half: the re-instatement line's price half, logged without weight. One half-line printed a second time: the VIX's close under 17.45, whose oil half — a settle under 109.45 — is $5.43 away.
Path D holds at 36% — modal, with its rate input gone again. It received two from the S&P's close and gave two on the ten-year's. What D keeps: a sixteenth settle over 101 with the final December print on Friday, mines south of the strait, a military-options briefing and a post-midterm window, a VIX future quoted near 19 against a 17.20 spot. What it lost: the ten-year over 5%. D takes two on a ten-year close back over 5.00, two on a 120 December settle Friday, two on a spread over 3.50, two on a VIX close over 22.31 and two on a Composite close under 23,459; it gives two to the range path on an S&P close back over 7,737 and two on a VIX close under 17.45 with a settle under 109.45.
Path C falls 2 to 28% — the line it re-instates on printed on price, and the tape gave its weight to the range path instead. What C keeps: a close under the daily EMA-5 and the weekly stack, a new daily gap down, a thirteenth close under 30,583, the monthly divergence widening to 11.04, and two P&F sell signals in the count. What it lost: two points to the NYSE repair. C re-instates — four points back and the structural re-licensed at a quarter — on a daily close under 29,498 with the count under 50; the count is 6.44 away.
Path B rises 2 to 28% — level with the rollover path for the first time since 20 October. It took two from the ten-year, gave two on the S&P's 20-day and took two from the NYSE's third +800 close. The range path's evidence printed in full on the day its index fell: a broad market rising a percent while three builders were repriced is rotation, not resolution. B gives two to D on a ten-year close back over 5.00; takes two from D on an S&P close back over 7,737; gives two each to C on the re-instatement.
Path A holds at 8%. The count fell two away from its gate, high-yield is 1.81 from 95 and flat, and a letter is not a signature.
Option 01 filled on the gap-through and was voided by its next bar — a loss, claimed. The weekly-stack sell-stop had a 29,542 trigger and a gap-through rule: a cash open under the trigger fills at half size on the first post-10:30 30-minute close that holds under the session's open, and a next-bar close back over the open voids it. The open was 29,421.18, 121 under the trigger. On the 30-minute image the 10:30 bar closed about 35 points under the open and the 11:00 bar closed about 25 over it: filled at half of the half, then voided — roughly 60 points at an eighth of a percent stated risk over a stop about 275 points away, or about 0.03% of book. The image resolves about five Nasdaq-100 points and both closes sat within 35 points of the open; by the doctrine, a loss that may not exist is claimed. The index then closed 29,402.51; the void cost the afternoon's move, and a gain that may not exist is not claimed. The rule did what it was written to do — it refused to hold a short on a gap that was being bought — and on Thursday the bounce stopped at the gap's floor and failed. The rule stands; its first live test cost a small loss and a missed carry, and both are stated.
The rotation pair's thesis paid 1.08% and the pair was not on — by a thousandth. Option 04's gap clause entered at half on a ratio open under 3.82; the ratio opened 3.821. Its rejection entry needed a print over 3.84 after 10:30; the high was 3.818. The ratio closed 3.808, eight thousandths from the first target. Right on direction, wrong on the trigger by 0.001 — owned. Friday's clause keys to the open ratio.
The rest did not trigger. Option 03 was cancelled by Option 01's fill under the one-cancels-other rule. Option 02's zone, 29,700–29,780, was 182 over the day's high. Option 05 got its pullback print (16.21) and never its reclaim of 17.42 (the high 17.36). Option 06 needed a print over 18.31 and the spot never left 17.36 — a gap-down open printed no volatility spike at all. Gold's bracket was not eligible on either side: the ten-year's 4.94 shut the short's gate and opened the long's, and gold closed 4,021.76, 73 under the long's trigger and 16 over the short's (the low, 4,005.37, printed under it intraday; the bracket is judged on the close).
A data error, owned. Thursday's issue adopted about 114.14 as Wednesday's December Brent settle and flagged it; the settle was 115.32, up 1.3%. The step-4 distance written on Thursday as 5.86 was 4.68. No weight line sat between the two figures, so no weight is restated; the figure is.
Thursday's map: three of five inside, the Nasdaq-100's range wholly missed. The Nasdaq-100 traded 29,257–29,518 against a projected 29,590–30,036 — under the floor all session, the first full range miss of this run; the close band missed with it. The S&P's low missed its range by 9 points while its close landed inside its band; the VIX, the ten-year and Brent landed inside theirs. The issue said before the open that the board sat about 90 under the Nasdaq-100 range's floor; the open was 169 under it. The range rule is written on the close and centres on it with no lean; one miss does not change it.
Calls that resolved. "29,546's price half can print on Thursday and the count half cannot" — exactly. "7,734 un-prints B's two points" — printed. "5.00 moves two points the way it closes" — printed, back. "60 on the count" — the count fell. "The gap-through rule governs Thursday" — it did, and its void clause closed the fill within the hour. "The board ≈29,500 on the cash equivalent" — the open was 29,421, 79 lower.

Win probability is the framework's estimate that the first target prints before the stop within one day to one week, conditional on the trigger firing; it is not a backtest. It is calibrated to the scenario weights, to each structure type's record in the last thirty days of issues — sell-stops paid twice under their clauses on 17 October, were refused by gap lines once, and on Thursday filled on the gap-through rule and were voided within the hour; fades have met their zones five times this month for a scratch, an unclaimed gain and a claimed loss, and twice printed their zones after the box shut; the rotation pair was right on direction on Thursday and not entered by a thousandth; the doorway long filled once cleanly and has been keyed over the day four times; the vol fade has been refused by its own qualifier on every day it was issued; the gold bracket paid once (+112) — and to the distance from the last price. All eight sit at or under one third and carry the muted pill: lower-odds, higher-payoff structures on a month-end that opens under a second night of hyperscaler sales. Three are unconventional: Option 04 is the rotation pair with a gap clause keyed to the open ratio; Option 06 is the month-end vol fade that needs a spike the week has refused to print; Option 08 is the far side of the one-gate gold bracket.

The base case is a session inside 29,124–29,681 with a close between 29,263 and 29,541 — the no-lean range, centred on Thursday's close at one times the wider of the last two true ranges, which is Thursday's 556. The S&P maps to 7,694–7,747 with a close of 7,707–7,734; the VIX to 16.0–18.6, the ten-year to 4.86–5.02 and December Brent's final settle to 110–119. The after-hours S&P indication sits about 32 under its range's floor, and the framework says so before the open rather than after: the rule is written on the close and scored as written. The reasoning runs in four steps. A second gap-down on hyperscaler prints opens under Thursday's close, and the first question is whether it is bought back into Thursday's open-to-high band, 29,421–29,518 — the shape of 21, 23 and 29 October — or whether Thursday's low at 29,257 goes on the first holding close. The NYSE repair completed on Thursday, so a broad tape that keeps rising while the weights fall is the base case for the members and the opposite for the index. The month ends at 16:00 and month-end flows can lift the cap-weights mechanically. And the afternoon is a Friday's afternoon before a midterm: every structure is flat by 15:30. The first read is the 10:30 bar; the sequence of the day's moves is not called.
The base case is 29,109–29,618 inside 28,567–30,054 — the daily band — and the week's question is whether the price half of the re-instatement acquires its count half. The tests: 29,498 with the count against 50 (the read; 6.44 away) and against 60 (the binary; 3.56 away); 29,257 and 29,109 under the index and gap #54 over it; 7,737 and 7,698 on the S&P, scored not traded; the ten-year against 5.00 both ways; the VIX against 17.45 with the settle, against 19 and against 22.31; the spread against 3.50; the January Brent settle against 120 from Monday; and the strait across Tuesday's midterm, with a letter from Washington and a military-options briefing on the same tape. If the index holds over 29,257 into the vote with the count over 50, the matrix's next moves are the shock path's (a ten-year back over 5.00; a strike) or the range path's (an S&P back over 7,737); if it closes under 29,498 with the count under 50, the read returns at D 34 / C 32 / B 26 / A 8 and the structural is re-licensed at a quarter. The downside path inside the week runs 29,257, 29,109, 29,012, 28,855, 28,777 and 28,567; for the S&P, 7,698, 7,691, 7,657, 7,627, 7,613 and 7,600.5.
October will very likely close as a down month after a record print — the close needs 30,408.50, 1,006 over Thursday's — on a monthly reading 11.04 under June's: the shape the divergence describes. The one-month central range, 28,564–30,294, holds a ninth session, the close 838 over its floor. The upside path needs five conditions and one has printed three times: the count over 50; the others are a signed Hormuz date, two front-month settles under 101 against 114.88, high-yield over 95 (1.81 away) and the ten-year under 4.90 (four basis points away after Thursday — the closest it has been this month). From Monday the January Brent contract is the front month, and on the board's 111.57 the 120 step sits $8.43 away — a distance created by the roll, not by price. The December Fed meeting is priced closer to a hike after Thursday's PCE.
Six months out the central case is a 27,000–31,600 range with downward drift while the monthly divergence resolves; the top of the range is unchanged for a sixteenth issue, and the index sits 2,403 over its floor. The capex cycle was repriced three ways in two sessions — Alphabet sold for guiding higher, Microsoft bought for spending less, Amazon and Intel sold for guiding softer — which is the market sorting the builders by cash flow; the framework has written about that repricing for weeks, and two sessions are its beginning, not its arrival. A Fed edging toward a December hike on 3.6% inflation caps the multiple; a broad market that completed its repair while three weights fell lifts its floor. A Hormuz reopening remains both the largest upside input and the largest sell-the-news for the war-bid assets, gold first; a post-midterm campaign remains the largest downside input. To year-end the conditional base case stays 27,500–29,800 for the Nasdaq-100 and 7,100–7,700 for the S&P; the Nasdaq-100 is back inside its band by 398 after one close over the top, and the review that a second close would have triggered did not come. The band is a framework output conditional on the divergence holding, not a forecast; it is withdrawn only if October closes over 31,117 with the monthly RSI over 77.88, which Friday cannot deliver.
The index closes, the sector and single-stock moves, the NYSE breadth ratio and the after-hours S&P indication are from MarketScreener's Wall Street wrap; Alphabet's 12.64% fall, the Amazon and Intel after-hours moves, the GDP print and the PCE annual rate from StockTitan; the PCE monthly change, the intraday Nasdaq-100 low and the December hike odds from Upstox; Amazon's quarter and guide from the Yahoo Finance live blog; Intel's quarter and guide from its 8-K earnings release; the direction of Nasdaq-100 futures from CNBC's live-updates headline (the level was not verified); the Brent and WTI settlements, the Vance letter, the Qatari draft, the tanker mines, the Houthi claims, the military-options briefing and the oil-show cancellations from the Reuters report on Euronext; the corrected Wednesday December settle of 115.32 from FinanceFeeds, citing Bloomberg via Rigzone; the ECB decision and Lagarde's remarks from MarketScreener. Every chart value is from Core_Charts_20261030.pdf, Gen 3, 55 pages, captured 06:21 Singapore Friday. No manifest for 20261030 was supplied — the project's manifest.json is dated 20261029 and was not paired with this PDF — so chart identity was taken from the builder's stamped header on every page, which carries the chart label and the session date; 55 of 55 core charts resolved that way, and the substitution is logged in the tracker. The live rows are from live_prices_20261030.json, run 06:38 Singapore, fetched from public quote pages because the Investing.com sign-in has lapsed a fourth session; the "US Tech 100" and "US 500" rows are the cash closes, not futures, and the VIX-future quote equals Wednesday night's to the cent and is flagged as possibly stale. The VIX's daily low of 16.21 equals Wednesday's to the cent and is read as printed. The ten-year's chart close (4.94) and board quote (4.923) straddle the 4.94 line; the chart governs. The Nasdaq and NYSE summation charts are weekly renders that reconcile to the hundredth. Intraday sequences are read from 30-minute images that resolve about five Nasdaq-100 points, under one S&P point and two VIX cents. Carried values are not presented as Thursday prints.
What repaired: the broad market — the NYSE's third +800 close completed its repair and gave the range path two points, the Composite closed on its high, and the ten-year fell back under 5%. What did not: the Nasdaq-100, which gapped down on Alphabet's worst day, closed under its re-instatement line and lost its weekly stack, with Amazon and Intel sold behind it; the S&P, back under its 20-day. The rollover read stays retired only because the count is over 50. The matrix is 36 / 28 / 28 / 8. The tactical lines are 29,257 on the gap-through, 29,421–29,518 and gap #54 for the fades, the ratio under its open, 17.44 after 17.05 and 18.00 after 18.23 for the VIX, and 4,046 or 3,995 on gold with the ten-year's side of 5.00. The next decision points are the 10:30 bar, 15:30, and the 16:00 month-end close against 29,498 with the count, 7,737, 5.00 and 120.
