Intel's Record Fall and Amazon's Cash Burn Took the Nasdaq-100 Down 3.46% to 28,384.85 Through a 544-Point Gap With the Count Under 50 — the Rollover Read Is Re-Instated on Both Halves — While October Closed 6.65% Lower After a Record Print, the S&P Lost Its 100-Day, the VIX Spiked to 23.93 and Was Sold, December Brent Expired at a Four-Year High and Gold Fell 3.67% With Yields Flat
For two sessions the market sorted the AI builders by their cash flow; on Friday it stopped sorting and sold. Intel fell about 30% — its worst day on record — Amazon was sold on a negative $42 billion of trailing free cash flow, and the Nasdaq-100 opened 652 points under Thursday's low and closed down 3.46%, while eight more of its members turned their point-and-figure columns to a sell and took the bullish-percent count under 50. That is both halves of the line the rollover read is written on, and October closed 6.65% lower after printing the all-time high. The framework moves four points on one line, books a fill that paid, owns two misses, and writes a book for a week with a binary every day.
Executive Summary
Overnight in brief
Intel's record drop and Amazon's cash burn sank the Nasdaq-100 3.46% to 28,384.85 on Friday; the S&P 500 fell 1.82% to 7,580.07 and the VIX closed 19.42. December Brent expired at $117.64, a four-year-high settle $2.36 short of 120, on Iranian mine claims and a projectile strike south of Lavan Island; gold fell 3.67% to 3,873.81 as cash was raised against tech losses, with the ten-year flat at 4.93%. Over the weekend Gulf officials said Washington warned of possible strikes from 4 November; nothing was signed. Nasdaq futures re-opened about 0.3% higher.

Framework signal
The framework signals the rollover read re-instated, with the structural short licensed while the Nasdaq-100 holds under 29,127 [the fresh daily EMA-5]; a daily close back over it with the count over 50 retires the read.
Called-shot note: "29,498 with the count against 50" printed on both halves and October closed down after a record, as written; the one-month central range failed. The gap-through sell-stop paid; the VIX hedge and the gold bracket missed the day — owned below.

What Friday Changed
The index gapped 652 points under Thursday's low and the sale ran all day. The Nasdaq-100 opened at 28,604.92 — under Thursday's low of 29,257.05, which logs a new daily gap, #55, from 28,713.45 to 29,257.05: 544 points, the largest of this leg. The first hour bounced to 28,713.45, the gap's floor, and every 30-minute bar after that was lower until 15:30, when the index printed 28,093.24; the last bar lifted it 290 points to a close of 28,384.85, down 1,017.66 or 3.46%. The true range was 1,309 points; the close sat under every daily average but the 200-day at 27,927. Intel fell about 30%, its steepest one-day drop on record, after warning it will burn cash this year and guiding fourth-quarter revenue to $15–16 billion; Amazon fell about 2% after reporting negative $42.4 billion of trailing free cash flow and holding its 2026 capital spending at $220 billion; chips fell about 7%.
The count fell under 50, and the line the rollover read is written on printed on both halves. The re-instatement rule needs a daily close under the daily EMA-5 as written — 29,498 — with the Nasdaq-100's bullish-percent count under 50. The close was 742 under the line; the count fell 7.92 to 48.51 as eight members turned their point-and-figure columns to a sell, the largest one-day loss of the leg. Both rules written for that print are applied: four points to the rollover path and the structural re-licensed. The line the read now retires on is the fresh daily EMA-5, 29,127.
The S&P gapped, filled the August gap and closed through its 100-day. The S&P 500 opened at 7,631.07, 60 points under Thursday's low — a new gap, #56, 7,637.48–7,690.94 — printed 7,527.56, through the 4 August gap at 7,600–7,629 (filled) and seven points over the 23.6% retracement at 7,521, and closed 7,580.07, down 1.82%: 35 under the 100-day at 7,615 and 20 under its daily band floor. Technology fell about 4%; staples rose and health care printed a record.
The VIX printed 23.93 and was sold in the last hour. The spot gapped over Thursday's high (#57, 17.36–18.03), climbed to 23.93 with the term structure inverted intraday (VIX/VIX3M 1.152), and was sold 4.5 points in the last hour to 19.42, up 12.91%. A daily close over 19 turns the leg-3 regime back on, and by the rule written on 22 October the cover line for a filled tactical short moves to the prior session's high: 23.93.
Gold was sold 3.67% with yields flat. Spot gold fell from 4,040 to 3,873.81, 69 under its daily band floor. The ten-year closed 4.93% on the chart, down less than half a basis point, and the dollar rose eight hundredths. A gold sale of that size with rates unchanged is a liquidity sale — cash raised against margin calls in tech — and the framework's gold bracket, which is gated on the ten-year, had no side for it.
What Friday Did Not Change
Oil and the strait. December Brent expired at $117.64, up 2.4% and over the 23 October four-year-high settle, after touching 118 — a seventeenth settlement over 101 and $2.36 short of the 120 line that is R14's fourth step and two points to the shock path. It did not print. From today the January contract is the front month; it settled $113.43, up $2.63, which puts the step $6.57 away — a roll, not a price move. Iran's Guards claimed a fourth tanker hit a mine; a projectile hit a vessel south of Lavan Island. Over the weekend Tehran ordered "maximum deterrence" and said talks need Washington to accept its terms; the Secretary of State said the President "hasn't made a decision"; Gulf officials said allies were told to prepare for strikes as early as 4 November. Nothing was signed; outright index longs stay struck.
Rates. The ten-year closed 4.93%, a second consecutive close at or under 5.00 and one basis point under the 4.94 first-withdrawal line — logged, with no weight attached; escalation-3 stays withdrawn a sixteenth session. The rate market did not carry Friday's sale.
Credit. The high-yield ETF rose 0.50% to 92.98 on the Nasdaq-100's worst day of the month, a thirty-seventh close under 95. The spread series posted Thursday's print at 3.26, twelve basis points wider — the first widening after four narrowings, and 0.24 under the 3.50 line that adds two to the shock path. Credit bent; it did not break.
The broad tape. The NYSE Composite fell 0.91%, 834 over the 23,459 line that adds two to the shock path; its summation index rose a twelfth session and closed over −500 for the first time in the leg; the transports rose 0.47%; the S&P's count rose to 57.80, so the broad tier stays exited and no S&P short is issued. The Nasdaq summation rose a fifth session. The members fell less than the weights — which is why the shock path, not the rollover path, is still modal.
The October Close — What the Monthly Bar Says
A record print and a down month, on both indices. The Nasdaq-100's October bar opened at 30,533.60, printed the all-time high of 31,361.37 on 6 October, and closed at 28,384.85 — down 6.65%, its widest monthly range of the year, and 558 points under its monthly EMA-5. The monthly RSI closed 62.58 against June's 77.88: a higher price high on a reading 15.30 points lower, the third peak of the 2018–2021–2025/26 structure the framework has carried since July, with 1999 its only monthly precedent. The S&P's bar printed its own record at 7,844.52 and closed down 0.93%. The framework's invalidation for the divergence — a monthly close over 31,117 with the monthly RSI over 77.88 — did not come close. The framework does not call November's bar.
The one-month central range broke. The range carried for nine issues, 28,564–30,294, failed on the monthly close by 179 points: a miss, owned. It is re-keyed to 27,580–29,553 — the running quarterly EMA-5 to the 100-day. The quarterly EMA-5 is now 347 under the 200-day, which opens the R3 band at 27,580–27,927, 457 to 805 points under Friday's close: the quarterly-average bounce zone has held every test since 2020 in the framework's sample, and it is the first written support the rollover path has to cross.

One line printed on Friday's close, and it is the one the rollover read is written on: a daily close under 29,498 with the count under 50. It moves four points to the rollover path, two from the shock path and two from the range path. Nothing else printed. The matrix is D 34 / C 32 / B 26 / A 8, from 36 / 28 / 28 / 8 — the arithmetic Friday's issue wrote before the open.
Path D falls 2 to 34% and stays modal by two. It keeps a four-year-high expiry, a reported strike window, an intraday term-structure inversion and a widening spread. D takes two on a VIX close over 22.31, a January settle at 120, a spread over 3.50, a ten-year close back over 5.00 or a Composite close under 23,459; it gives two to the range path on an S&P close over 7,730.
Path C rises 4 to 32% — re-instated, with its instrument. Against it: the R3 band 457 points under the close and an hourly RSI under 30. C retires on a daily close back over 29,127 with the count back over 50; a new line is written today — a daily close under the 200-day at 27,927 with the count under 45 adds two to C from B.
Path B falls 2 to 26%. Its evidence is a broad tape that bent and did not break; its line is the S&P's 20-day, 150 points away.
Path A holds at 8%. The count fell eight away from its gate; high-yield is 2.02 under 95; a target list is not a signature.
The Honest Ledger
The gap-through sell-stop filled and paid — claimed at the conservative read. Option 01 was a sell-stop under 29,257 with a gap-through rule: a cash open under the trigger fills at half size on the first post-10:30 30-minute close that holds under the session's open, and a next-bar close back over the open voids it. The open was 28,604.92, 652 under the trigger. On the 30-minute image the 10:30 bar closed at or just over the open — inside the image's resolution — so the fill is taken on the 11:00 bar's close, about 28,530, and no later bar closed back over the open. The structure's three targets (29,109, 29,012, 28,855) all sat over the fill and were struck by the rule written on 17 September. The VIX was over 19 on every 30-minute close after the fill, so the cover rule took two thirds at the next close, about 28,470 (about +60), and one third ran to the 15:30 flat at about 28,250 (about +280): about +130 points blended at an eighth, roughly 0.02% of book. The conservative read is claimed; the rule that voided Thursday's fill held Friday's.
The rotation pair filled late and is scored a scratch. Option 04's gap clause entered at half on a ratio open under 3.80; the ratio opened 3.748 and the fill came at about 3.745. Its first two targets sat over the fill and were struck; the flat at 3.74 printed (the low was 3.732). The gain, five thousandths at most, sits inside the image's resolution — by the doctrine, a gain that may not exist is not claimed.
The VIX hedge was not in the room — a design miss, owned. Option 05, the doorway long, needed a post-10:30 print under 17.05 and a reclaim of 17.44. The spot never traded under 18.03 and ran to 23.93. The structure written as Friday's hedge into a weekend with a midterm on it was keyed under the day, on the second spike day this month. Nothing lost; the hedge's purpose was missed.
The gold bracket refused the largest gold day of the leg. Option 07 needed gold over 4,046 with the ten-year at or under 5.00; Option 08 needed gold under 3,994 with the ten-year over 5.00. The ten-year closed 4.93 and gold closed 3,873.81: the long's gate was open and its price half failed; the short's price half printed by 120 points and its rate half did not. A one-gate bracket cannot see a sale that does not run through rates; a second, liquidity gate is written beside it (Option 08).
The rest did not trigger. Options 02 and 03 needed prints 708 and 805 over the high; Option 06 was armed by the open and never got its close under 18.00 (the low was 18.03).
Friday's map: two of five. The Nasdaq-100 traded 28,093–28,713 against a projected 29,124–29,681 — wholly under, a second consecutive downside range miss; the S&P 7,528–7,637 against 7,694–7,747; the VIX closed 19.42 against 16.0–18.6. The ten-year and December Brent landed inside theirs. The widening rule is written on three consecutive same-direction misses; this is two. The width resets to Friday's 1,309-point true range.
Calls that resolved. "29,498 with the count against 50" — both halves printed. "October will very likely close down after a record print" — printed. "The one-month central range holds a ninth session" — failed by 179, owned. "120 on December's final settle" — 117.64, not printed.

Step 9 — Trade Structures
Leveraged retail sizing. This plan does not prescribe position size in currency. The percentages are book-risk allocations: a "0.25%" structure risks a quarter of a percent of book equity between entry and stop, and a leveraged CFD account at up to 200× can express that with a fraction of margin. The tactical cap is 20%: Brent has settled over 101 seventeen times. With the ten-year under 5.25, tactical shorts are half size — that half is what "0.25% stated" means — and a gap-through fill is half of that again. The VIX at 19.42 sits in the 18–22 band (80% mechanically); R14's cap binds under it. The leg-3 regime is on, so the cover line for a filled tactical short is a 30-minute VIX close over Friday's high, 23.93. The structural is re-licensed at an eighth applied. No S&P structure and no outright index long are issued. Gold is a sixteenth each side. Nothing is entered before the 10:30 bar, and nothing tactical is held past 15:30.
Win probability is the framework's estimate that the first target prints before the stop within one day to one week, conditional on the trigger firing; it is not a backtest. It is calibrated to the scenario weights, to each structure type's record in the last thirty days of issues (sell-stops paid on 17 October and on Friday's gap-through; the doorway has been keyed under both spike days; the vol fade has never filled; the gold bracket paid once) and to the distance from the last price. All eight sit at or under one third — lower-odds, higher-payoff structures with the muted pill. Four are unconventional: the reverse rotation pair (04), the doorway's carry clause (05), the vol fade (06) and the liquidity-gated gold short (08).
| # | Structure | Win prob. | Instrument | Side |
| 01 | NDX — the structural re-armed at the gap: rejection close back under 28,713 after a print inside 28,713–28,942 (gap #55's floor to the monthly EMA-5); eighth; carries | ~34% | NDX (NQ / USTECH CFD) | Short (structural, re-armed, eighth size) |
| 02 | NDX — sell-stop under Friday's low 28,093 with the gap-through rule (the 200-day 27,927 under it) | ~30% | NDX (NQ / USTECH CFD) | Short (sell-stop, half size; a quarter on the gap-through) |
| 03 | NDX — rejection fade of 28,514–28,605 (the 30-minute EMA-14 to Friday's open) | ~30% | NDX (NQ / USTECH CFD) | Short (rejection fade, half size) |
| 04 | NDX:SPX — the reverse rotation: ratio back over 3.760 after a print under 3.732, at the daily band floor (unconventional) | ~28% | NDX:SPX ratio (NQ long / ES short, notional-matched) | Reverse rotation pair (long NDX / short SPX) |
| 05 | VIX — doorway long over 20.15 after a print under 19.12, tapered; a third may carry into the midterm | ~28% | VIX (CFD, spot-referenced) | Long (convexity, tapered; carry clause) |
| 06 | VIX — the last-hour fade continued: under 19.12 after a print over 20.15; flat by 15:30 (unconventional) | ~30% | VIX (CFD, spot-referenced) | Short (vol fade, time-boxed) |
| 07 | XAUUSD — long on a daily close back over 3,943 with the 10Y at or under 5.00 (cap 3,989) | ~26% | XAUUSD (CFD) | Long (conditional, sixteenth size) |
| 08 | XAUUSD — the liquidity-gate short: daily close under 3,851 with the NDX closing under 28,093 the same day (unconventional) | ~22% | XAUUSD (CFD) | Short (conditional, sixteenth size) |
NDX — the structural re-armed on the re-instatement: sell a rejection close back under 28,713 (Friday's high = the floor of the new gap #55) after a post-10:30 print inside 28,713–28,942 (the hourly MA10 28,708, the 30-minute MA20 28,743, the hourly EMA-14 28,794 and the monthly EMA-5 28,942); eighth size; carries through the midterm
Entry
USTECH / NQ CFD, short 0.125% (eighth — the structural's size; the licence re-opened on Friday's close: a daily close 742 under the 29,498 re-instatement line WITH the count at 48.51, under 50) on the first 30-minute close from the 10:30 bar that prints back under 28,713 — Friday's high, the floor of gap #55 — after a print inside 28,713–28,942 made from the 10:30 bar: the hourly MA10 28,708, the 30-minute MA20 28,743 (the 30-minute band mid), the hourly EMA-14 28,794 and the monthly EMA-5 28,942.65 (October closed 558 under it). Gap clause: a cash open inside the zone counts as the print and the first post-10:30 close back under 28,713 fills; a cash open over 28,942 stands the structure down for the morning and it re-arms on a post-10:30 print back inside the zone; a cash open under 28,385 (Friday's close) is not chased — the structural is sold on a rally, not a gap. Nothing is read before the 10:30 bar (22:30 SGT open, 23:30 SGT gate — US clocks fell back on Sunday).
Stop
29,280 — beyond the top of gap #55 at 29,257.05 (Thursday's low) and the 30-minute MA50 / MA100 at 29,273–29,274, under the daily MA10 at 29,328: the stop sits outside the 544-point magnet, not inside it — a structural carried over a midterm night cannot sit where a gap-fill bid would run. The fresh daily EMA-5 at 29,127 lies inside the stop distance and is the retirement line on a close, which on most paths closes the structure before the stop.
Targets
28,385 · 28,093 · 27,927
Win prob.
~34% to 28,385 · ~24% to 28,093 · ~14% to flat (27,927). Conditional on the print inside the zone and the rejection close; reward-to-risk about 0.55:1 on the first target from 28,700 against the 580-point stop, 1.05:1 on the second, 1.3:1 on the flat (the 200-day) — carried for the second target and the flat.
Why
The rollover read was re-instated on both halves on Friday's close — a 3.46% fall to 28,384.85 with the count back under 50 at 48.51 — and the structural is that read's instrument; the first rally into the gap it left is where it is written to be sold. The odds are 34%, the best of the set, because a 544-point gap down on two hyperscaler prints and a record Intel fall is a lid, because October closed down 6.65% under its monthly EMA-5 on a monthly RSI 15.30 under June's, and because the count has five sell signals behind it; they stay under half because the daily RSI is 34.90 and the hourly 29.73 — oversold — because the R3 bounce zone (the quarterly EMA-5 27,580 to the 200-day 27,927) sits 457–805 points under the close, and because the structural's own record in this leg is ten arms, two fills and one stop at full cost.
Exit regardless
A daily close back over 29,127 (the fresh daily EMA-5) with the count back over 50 retires it · a second consecutive daily close over 29,553 (the 100-day) retires it regardless of count (the price-only backstop) · a BPNDX close over 60 suspends it · a confirmed US strike halves it at the first 30-minute close after the headline · a signed Hormuz date closes it · trims a third before Friday's 08:30 payrolls · a VIX 30-minute close over 23.93 covers tacticals, not the structural · may coexist with one of Options 02 or 03 at its own size; not held with Option 04
NDX — the sell-stop under Friday's low with the gap-through rule: sell a holding close under 28,093 after a 28,385 print (the hourly band floor 28,042 and the 200-day 27,927 beneath)
Entry
USTECH / NQ CFD, sell-stop 0.25% stated (tactical shorts at half with the ten-year under 5.25) on the first 30-minute close from the 10:30 bar that holds under 28,093 — Friday's low (28,093.24), with the hourly band floor at 28,042 and the weekly band floor 27,915 / 200-day 27,927 beneath — and only after the cash session has traded at or over 28,385 (Friday's close) if the open is over the trigger. Gap-through rule: a cash open under 28,093 fills at HALF size on the first post-10:30 30-minute close that holds under the session's open; a next-bar close back over the open voids it. Exhaustion rule: not armed if the trigger bar closes more than 775 points under the session's open (60% of Friday's 1,309-point true range, less ten). Nothing is read before the 10:30 bar.
Stop
28,420 — outside Friday's close 28,385 and the hourly EMA-5 28,408, under the 30-minute EMA-14 28,515: a break of Friday's low must stay under the session's fast stack. The old up-gaps #20 (28,274–28,440) and #2 (28,280–28,850) lie between entry and stop — both traded through on Friday, used bands, not fresh magnets — and the structure carries a pre-close rule: a 30-minute close back over 28,305 (the 30-minute EMA-5) after the fill covers half.
Targets
27,927 · 27,753 · 27,580
Win prob.
~30% to 27,927 · ~20% to 27,753 · ~10% to flat (27,580). Conditional on the holding close (half size on the gap-through); reward-to-risk about 0.5:1 on the first target from 28,085 against the 335-point stop, 1.0:1 on the second, 1.5:1 on the flat (the quarterly EMA-5 — the floor of the R3 band).
Why
Friday's low printed in the last hour and was bought 290 points into the bell; a holding close under it on Monday is the liquidation leg resuming into the 200-day. The odds are 30% because sell-stops in this leg paid twice under their clauses and filled on Friday's gap-through for a gain; they are under a third because the first target is the 200-day and the top of the R3 band — the quarterly EMA-5 bounce zone that has held every test since 2020 (100% of its tests in that sample) — and because a −3.46% day with the hourly RSI under 30 is more often followed by a bounce than a second leg.
Exit regardless
Flat by 15:30 New York Monday — Apple reports after the close · one-cancels-other with Option 03 — one tactical short per index · a VIX 30-minute close over 23.93 (Friday's high — the leg-3 cover line) covers two thirds · a 30-minute close back over 28,305 after the fill covers half · a signed Hormuz date · a confirmed US strike flattens it at the first 30-minute close after the headline · a BPNDX close over 60 suspends every short (11.49 away)
NDX — the first-lid fade: sell a rejection close back under 28,514 after a post-10:30 print inside 28,514–28,605 (the 30-minute EMA-14 to Friday's open), stop under the gap #55 floor
Entry
USTECH / NQ CFD, short 0.25% stated, only on a 30-minute rejection close back under 28,514 after a print inside 28,514–28,605 made from the 10:30 bar: the 30-minute EMA-14 28,514.61 and Friday's open 28,604.92 — the first lid a Monday bounce on the futures' +0.3% would reach. Gap clause: a cash open inside the band counts as the print; a cash open over 28,605 stands this fade down (the day belongs to Option 01's zone). A 30-minute close over 28,700 before the rejection voids the day.
Stop
28,700 — under the floor of gap #55 at 28,713 and the hourly MA10 at 28,708, over Friday's open: the stop sits outside the 544-point magnet, below it — a 30-minute print into the gap is the fade's premise failing, and the structural (Option 01) is written for that print, not this fade.
Targets
28,385 · 28,305 · 28,093
Win prob.
~30% to 28,385 · ~22% to 28,305 · ~10% to flat (28,093). Conditional on the print inside the band and the rejection close; reward-to-risk about 0.6:1 on the first target from 28,505 against the 195-point stop, 1.0:1 on the second, 2.1:1 on the flat.
Why
A bounce off a 3.46% day usually meets its first lid at the session's open and the fast intraday average, and Friday's open is where Friday's sellers started. The odds are 30% because the fade is close to the board and the lid is dense; they are under a third because an oversold tape (the 30-minute stochastic 13.61 and turning) can run through a 90-point band in one bar, and because the structural's own zone sits 110 points over the stop.

NDX:SPX — the reverse rotation pair on Apple day: long NDX / short SPX on a 30-minute ratio close back over 3.760 (Friday's ratio high) after a post-10:30 print under 3.732 (Friday's ratio low, at the daily band floor 3.72) — unconventional
Entry
USTECH long 0.25% stated against a US500 short of equal notional (the risk is the ratio's move; the long leg is a hedge leg against the short leg, not the outright index long the protocol strikes). Entry on the first 30-minute close from the 10:30 bar at which the $NDX:$SPX ratio prints back over 3.760 (Friday's ratio high) after the session has printed under 3.732 (Friday's ratio low; the daily band floor 3.72 and the 30-minute band floor 3.706 beneath). Gap clause: a ratio open under 3.732 counts as the print; a ratio open over 3.768 (the 30-minute MA20) stands the pair down. Both legs entered and exited together inside one bar. Flat by 15:30 — Apple (about 7–8% of the Nasdaq-100 and 6% of the S&P) reports after the close.
Stop
Ratio 3.712 — under the daily band floor at 3.72 and over the 30-minute band floor at 3.706: a sort that breaks the daily band on a fifth day is not exhausted. No gap sits in a ratio.
Targets
3.790 · 3.807 · 3.841
Win prob.
~28% to 3.790 · ~20% to 3.807 · ~10% to flat (3.841). Conditional on the print under 3.732 and the close back over 3.760; reward-to-risk about 0.6:1 on the first target from 3.761 against the 0.049 stop, 0.9:1 on the second (the 30-minute MA50), 1.6:1 on the flat (the 30-minute MA200).
Why
Unconventional — the rotation pair turned around: the short-NDX/long-SPX thesis paid 1.08% on Thursday and 1.67% on Friday (the ratio 3.808 to 3.745), the ratio's daily RSI is 33 at the daily band floor and its 30-minute RSI 27.9, and three AI-capex prints in two sessions have been sorted; Monday's own print is Apple, after the close. The pair buys the first sign the sort is exhausted without taking an outright index long. The odds are 28% because exhaustion is a pattern, not a line; it is listed because a calculated contrarian expression is worth carrying at a quarter when the trend it fades is two days and 2.7% old.

VIX — the doorway long into the midterm and the strike window: buy a 30-minute close back over 20.15 (the 30-minute EMA-14) after a post-10:30 print under 19.12 (the 30-minute band mid); full size to 20.50, half to 20.83, none above — with a carry clause
Entry
VIX CFD, long 0.25% on the first 30-minute close from the 10:30 bar back over 20.15 — the 30-minute EMA-14, with the hourly EMA-5 at 20.24 and the daily band top at 20.26 over it — after the session has printed under 19.12 (the 30-minute MA20, the band mid; the hourly EMA-14 19.09 beside it) from the 10:30 bar. Taper: a qualifying close at or under 20.50 fills full; 20.50–20.83 (the 30-minute MA10) half; over 20.83 the structure stands down until a pullback prints. Gap clause: a cash open under 19.12 counts as the pullback print; a cash open over 20.83 stands it down until a 30-minute close back under 20.15. Carry clause (unconventional): if Monday's VIX daily close is over 21.00 (the top of gap #12), one third is carried into Tuesday's midterm and Wednesday's reported strike window, flat by 15:30 Wednesday.
Stop
18.40 — under Friday's open 18.43, over the 30-minute MA100 18.28 and the 200-day 18.24: a reclaim that then loses Friday's open has failed. The new VIX gap #57 (17.36–18.03) lies beneath the stop — the magnet is outside the stop distance by design: a fill of it is the long's premise failing.
Targets
21.00 · 21.51 · 22.31
Win prob.
~28% to 21.00 · ~18% to 21.51 · ~10% to flat (22.31). Conditional on the pullback print and the reclaim inside the taper; reward-to-risk about 0.5:1 on the first target from 20.17 against the 1.77 stop, 0.8:1 on the second, 1.2:1 on the flat (the D +2 line).
Why
The spot printed 23.93 on Friday — the term structure inverted intraday to 1.152 — and was sold 4.5 points in the last hour into a month-end close of 19.42, over 19 (the leg-3 regime back on). The week holds a midterm on Tuesday and a reported strike window from Wednesday, so the doorway buys the first pullback that holds Friday's open and reclaims the fast average. The odds are 28% because a VIX that collapses from its high into the bell often drifts the next session, and the doorway has been keyed under the day on both spike days this month; the carry clause is the unconventional part — convexity held into a dated binary at a third of size, not a call on the binary.

VIX — the month-end collapse continued: sell a 30-minute close back under 19.12 after a print over 20.15 on the cash open or post-10:30; flat by 15:30, never over the midterm night (unconventional)
Entry
VIX CFD, short 0.25% on the first 30-minute close from the 10:30 bar back under 19.12 — the 30-minute MA20, with the hourly EMA-14 at 19.09 beside it — only after the spot has printed over 20.15 (the 30-minute EMA-14) either on Monday's cash open (the open-as-print clause) or post-10:30. Gap clause: a cash open over 21.00 stands the fade down. No add.
Stop
21.05 — over the 30-minute MA10 at 20.83 and the top of gap #12 at 21.00, under the hourly band top at 21.51: a spike that re-takes the gap's top is not a spike that failed. No logged VIX gap sits between entry and stop; gap #57 (17.36–18.03) is beneath the targets.
Targets
18.43 · 18.24 · 17.64
Win prob.
~30% to 18.43 · ~22% to 18.24 · ~10% to flat (17.64). Conditional on the print over 20.15 and the close back under 19.12; reward-to-risk about 0.35:1 on the first target from 19.10 against the 1.95 stop, 0.45:1 on the second, 0.75:1 on the flat — a low-payoff structure listed for its information; stated.
Why
Unconventional — the inverse of the doorway: Friday's last hour sold the spot from 23.5 to 19.42 into the month-end print, and a Monday that opens with the futures higher is the shape in which that sale continues to the 200-day. The odds are 30% because the cash VIX has given back every spike of the leg within two sessions; they are under a third because a midterm night and a reported strike window from Wednesday are the wrong backdrop to be short volatility, which is why the structure is time-boxed to 15:30 Monday and sized as a quarter.

Entry
XAUUSD CFD, long 0.0625% (a sixteenth) on the daily close (no 30-minute gold record in the capture): the first daily close back over 3,943.01 — the daily band floor gold closed 69 under on Friday — with the ten-year's daily close at or under 5.00 the same day (4.93 on Friday: the gate is open). Why
Gold fell 3.67% on Friday to 3,873.81 — its worst October since 2008 per the wire, −6.83% on the month — on a day the ten-year was flat: a liquidity sale, cash raised against margin calls in tech. The rate gate is open and the daily RSI is 29.57, the weekly 34.78, with the weekly band floor 23 under the close. The odds are 26% because liquidation sales end on their own clock and a close back inside the daily band is the first evidence; they are under a third because the monthly bar closed under its EMA-5 and a signed Hormuz date — which Tehran says is not coming — would sell the war bid first.

Entry
XAUUSD CFD, short 0.0625% on the daily close: the first daily close under 3,850.79 — the weekly band floor, with the weekly MA100 3,869 and Friday's low 3,870 over it — only with the Nasdaq-100's daily close under 28,093 (Friday's low) the same day. A new gate, stated as new: the ten-year's side of 5.00 decides the rate bracket (Options 07 and its old mirror); this gate tests the liquidation channel that sold gold 3.67% on Friday with yields flat. Chase cap 3,780: a close under it is not sold. Weekend clause n/a; a next-session open back over 3,900 halves it at the first hourly close.

3,944 — over the daily band floor at 3,943: a break that re-takes the daily band has failed. No gap record exists for spot gold.
Targets
3,800 · 3,750 · 3,700
Win prob.
~22% to 3,800 · ~14% to 3,750 · ~6% to flat (3,700). Conditional on both gates printing on one daily close; reward-to-risk about 0.45:1 on the first target from 3,845 against the 99-point stop, 1.0:1 on the second, 1.5:1 on the flat. The targets are round numbers set by distance (half, one and one-and-a-half Friday ranges): no chart level exists under the weekly band floor short of the 200-week at 3,010 — stated.
Why
Unconventional — a second gate for gold: the one-gate rate bracket refused both sides on the biggest gold day of the leg, because Friday's sale was liquidity, not rates. The structure sells gold only when the tech tape is liquidating again on the same close. The odds are 22%, the lowest of the set, because both gates must print and a liquidation that has run 6.8% in a month is closer to its end than its start; it is listed so the channel that moved gold on Friday is written down before it prints again.
Exit regardless
Monday's close is the first eligible fill · a Nasdaq-100 daily close back over 28,713 closes it · a daily close back over 3,943 closes it · a signed Hormuz date: held — gold is the asset the signature sells · never held with Option 07
Market Path
Next 24 hours
The base case is a session inside 27,730–29,040 with a close between 28,058 and 28,712 — the no-lean range, centred on Friday's close at one times Friday's 1,309-point true range. The S&P maps to 7,484–7,676 with a close of 7,532–7,628; the VIX to 17.5–23.0, the ten-year to 4.85–5.01 and January Brent to 108–119. The reasoning: an oversold close (hourly RSI 29.73) makes the first question whether a bounce reaches 28,514–28,605 or the gap floor at 28,713 and fails; the re-instated read makes the structural view short and the tactical view two-sided; Apple after 16:00 shuts every tactical at 15:30; and the R3 band 457 under the close is support, not a target. The first read is the 10:30 bar; the order of the day's moves is not called.
One week
The base case is 27,927–29,127 inside 27,580–29,553: a week with a binary every day — Apple on Monday night, the midterms on Tuesday with AMD after the bell, a reported strike window from Wednesday with Qualcomm and the refunding, payrolls on Friday. The tests are 29,127 with the count against 50 (the read retires and the matrix returns to 36 / 28 / 28 / 8), 27,927 with the count against 45 (C +2 from B), 7,730 on the S&P (B +2 from D), 22.31 on the VIX, 120 on January Brent, 3.50 on the spread and 5.00 on the ten-year. The downside path inside the week runs 28,093, 28,042, 27,927, 27,915, 27,753 and 27,580; for the S&P, 7,528, 7,521, 7,503, 7,399, 7,362 and 7,310.
One month
October closed down 6.65% after a record print, on a monthly reading 15.30 under June's — the shape the divergence describes, now on the close. November opens 558 under the monthly EMA-5. The one-month central range broke and is re-keyed to 27,580–29,553; none of the upside path's five conditions is met — the closest are the ten-year under 4.90 (three basis points away) and the count back over 50 (1.49 away).
Six months and year-end
Six months out the central case is a 27,000–31,600 range with downward drift while the monthly divergence resolves — unchanged for a seventeenth issue, with the index 1,385 over its floor. The capex cycle was sorted for two sessions and sold on the third. A Hormuz reopening remains the largest upside input and the largest sell-the-news for gold; a post-midterm campaign remains the largest downside input, now with a reported date. To year-end the conditional base case stays 27,500–29,800 for the Nasdaq-100 and 7,100–7,700 for the S&P; both indices sit inside their bands. The band is a framework output conditional on the divergence holding, not a forecast.
Sources and Data Discipline
Friday's index closes and the weekly and year-to-date changes are from the AP table via La Nación; the Intel and Amazon figures, the Chicago PMI, the employment-cost index and the Binance item from Eurasia Business News; the sector, chip, breadth-ratio and rate-path detail from the Reuters report via Business Standard; the December Brent expiry, the January settlement, the OPEC+ hold, the Rubio and Bessent remarks and the week's calendar from FinanceFeeds; the Hormuz incidents, Khamenei's order and the state of the talks from the Critical Threats Iran Update; the reported 4 November strike window and the weekend statements from the Times of Israel live blog; the gold liquidity read from stock3; the futures re-open from ChainCatcher (level not verified); the week's calendar from Newsquawk. Every chart value is from Core_Charts_20261102.pdf, Gen 3, 55 pages, captured 06:22 Singapore Monday, with its manifest paired by date — 55 of 55 core charts resolved by manifest label. The live rows are from Live_Prices_20261102.xlsx, run 06:38 Singapore — the legacy spreadsheet shape rather than JSON this session, with the same fields — and every quote is Friday's close, because the run fired before the Sunday re-open. Summation closes reconcile from the prior close plus the oscillator; intraday fills are read from 30-minute images and claimed at the conservative read. Carried values — the sentiment surveys — are not presented as Friday prints.
The Bottom Line
What held: the broad tape bent and did not break — credit and the transports rose, the NYSE summation crossed −500. What did not: the Nasdaq-100, which gapped 544 points under Thursday's low on Intel and Amazon, closed down 3.46% with its count under 50 and finished October 6.65% lower after a record. The rollover read is re-instated on both halves; the matrix is 34 / 32 / 26 / 8. The tactical lines are 28,713–28,942 for the structural, 28,514–28,605 and 28,093 for the tacticals, 3.760 on the ratio, 20.15 and 19.12 on the VIX, and 3,943 or 3,851 on gold with their gates. The next decision points are the 10:30 bar, Apple at 16:00, Tuesday's vote and Wednesday's reported window.
